If you're not getting any video then this file(like most raw hentai) probably uses the M$ Windows Media 9(WMV3) codec which VLC doesn't include. You need to DL it from the Microsoft website after which VLC can be used to play it.

stop using vlc, install cccp codec pack. Then almost every anime will play...
