Do not the delete the ARTIFICIAL_GIRL_2_MEGA_PACKAGE folder!
please copy it on a DVD- do not just backup the game iso's.

the folder is important for the update package for this package which will be released SOON!!!

Why does this AG2 torrent only 1GB while the other one on the torrents page is 1.24GBs? This one has your mods, but why the 240MB difference?

easy- its RARed with a high compression and is a direct rip from the DVD in ISO format ^_^

Don't forget to apply the fullpatch and then the redux. ya cant install the redux without reading the tiny section in the read me file about it (i haven't wrot the read me file bcuz i was bored. it's an important file).

Oh, duh... I forgot about the RAR part of the file.^_^; So we can't apply the redux until we read the readme file, but you haven't written the readme file yet... So what is it that we are supposed to know about it before installing?

NO LOL what I meant was "I haven't write the Read Me file bcuz I was bored- I wrote it bcuz it's a very important file". I said that in a sarcastic way bcuz many ppl give a shit about these files, and then come to uploader "plz help i dunno how to xyz bcuz I was to lazy to read 4lines ^o^).

this is weird i keep gettin 'unable to access image file' when i try to mount the iso
can ne1 help?
btw thanks for the upload

i got the same prob, then i change the iso file name to standard ascii file name, then i able to mount the iso.

NEXT problem: i try to install, but failed, the installation stopped in the middle and give me an error message (dont ask me, i cant read japanese). any help?

btw, any extra note on regional and language setting?

I tried to mount both the .msi and .iso, but it still didn't work.

whobris, did you do anything to make it work or did you just mount the .msi and it just worked?

I got it.
1.i rename the iso file,both filename.iso and filename.mds must be the same
2.I microsoft  applocale(4th language from bottom) daemon tools, mounted the iso and execute the msi

I tried changing the file names of both to the same one, but it still didn't work. Just need the applocale cleared up.

redux , u need winrar and extract all 4 file, this 4 file must be at the same folder as ag2.exe

I don't need the applocale anymore. I only changed the name of the .iso file and left the .mds the same. It mounted, but it didn't autorun, so I had to look into the virtual DVD-drive to find the .msi file, that's mentioned in the readme, and run it from there.

It's installing.

I have mounted it and able to run the .msi file, and it's installing. I got the install bar full, but it seems like it stopped there. Do I have to keep waiting? Is the installation process that long?

If you can click the Finish button, and if it's there, then it should be finished... I think.

ALl Illusion games are taking AGES to instal. Don't worry. It'll take around 15-20mins to install them. Not my fault ^_^

The Buttons- forget that they are in Japanese, and try to remember English Setup appz: the AG2 setup app buttons are at the same place just in another language.

Yes, if ya can't mount the image, rename it to... "AG2.mds" (or "AG2.iso") or so. ^_^
To install the Redux file unpack the files in your instllation directory (e.g. Crogram FilesIllusionAG2 - the folder where your EXE is located) and start the .BAT file.
If my Batch encounter any prob's during the installation, get back to me. ^_^

IF ya get a Error Message during installation, change your unicode settings all to Japanese or start the .msi with Micrsoft AppLocale:

If ya have installed WinRAR, all ISO wil have a WinRAR symbol  (and yes ya can open them with it)

<<< Copy the "unkown versions" from the DVD over to your DATA directory and overwrite the old ones. That's it.

if it still doesn't work the game just don't work for you. Yup it's sad but not my fault (blame Illusion).

4last things ya can do:

Update your drivers.

-Try to install the game, and then copy the system files again onto your HDD- but this time without installing it. Do not apply any patches and try if it starts. if yes, apply one patch and test it again, then apply the next one.

-Just copy the system files from the DVD onto your HDD, without installing it (note: you may cannot apply the fullpatchv2 then, and ya cannot use any of the modding tools (the ai2 redux will still work, though ).

-Start the EXE with Micr0s0ft applocale (language- "Japanese", of course).

PS: If ya burned it on a DVD- do not leave the DVD inside the DVD-drive when ya r going to play the game (clicking on PLAY with the DVD inside the dvd-drive will result in an error message)

FULLPATCH SAYS "XX_XX.pp : unkown version"- HOW TO FIX IT>
Copy the 'DATA' ("program files"> "Illusion"> "AG2"> "DATA") folder in it's entirity from the DVD over to your AG 2 Installation directory (yes, overwrite existing files). That's it. ^_^

VIDEO CODEC ERROR>
If you want to start the game, but get a "Microsoft Video 1 Codec" error, either download the ACE Mega Codec package (this is a link) or take a look at THIS WEBSITE
You should also take a look on what SorryAngel posted here about the codec- CLICK HERE to read his post

ERROR AFTER CLICKING ON PLAY>
Put the DVD out of your DVD drive/unmount the DVD before clicking on 'PLAY'.

Everything seems to be working fine now (-- at last!  It took about three hours of sweat and swearing to get things going though).

I got this message about three or four different times when installing.  So far it hasn't seemed to effect gameplay but, all the same, if someone could tell me what this one might translate to -- I'd be a very happy man.

The update package will be released tomorrow.

As I said, please keep your ARTIFICIAL_GIRL_2_MEGA_PACKAGE folder in order to use the update package properly. Do not delete files or any of it's subfolders.
The best would be too burn the whole thing on a DVD.

Im not sure if anyone got this but...
After renaming the .iso to ag2.iso, used the applocale and chose the 4th language from the bottom, and run with daemon tools, this window came up with weird text then i clicked ok. Then this InstallWizard came up and the bar in it was filling up and restarted the bar over again and a new window popped up saying like:

1155unlegible text):ILLUSION (unreadable again) 2.msi (more unreadable! >_<)

Then I clicked Ok and it was the end.
Ish there ne thing i did wrong? I tried burning it on DVD- but after using up two discs, it still wont read  in my drive! what else can be done?  U_U

While the designing and all was done, and I clicked agree and go or w/e... It then aid these codes and I clicked okay. Then I got off the game, automatically. Tried to turn it back on in jap version as well... (It's in gameplay, the preparation mode of where you make the girl.)

I renamed the Iso and Mds AG2, I couldn't mount the MDS so i mounted the ISO.  I didn't know what to do after this, a kind of installation screen popped up, but it bascially said it needed a file and closed.  Earlier I tried unziping the ISO using winrar, but was unsuccessful, so I mounted and renamed it, and was able to extract the files.  I can't mount the MDS, and none of the files that came from the ISO can install the game completely.  I've read all of the comments before mine, but don't know how I am supposed to "run" the MDS while mounting the ISO, because the MDS is a file that when u doulbe click, you select internet service or a program from a list to use it.  Someone please help me, and thanks for good upload.

You need to explore the mounted image for the file, you should be able to see the file after you open your emulated drive.

to downloaders: the game has seeds (+50), Datorrents is jsut reporting wrong stats so don't worry.

Do this to run Japanese games on western systems:

To change your unicode settings to Japanese click on
"START> CONTROL PANEL> REGIONS AND LANGUAGE SETTINGS>"
and the new window on "ADVANCED" and choose "JAPANESE"
from the list. Click "OK" and reboot your system.
And don't forget to install the Fonts by clickin' on the "language" tab.

I done everything on the previous post and with dumb found knowledge i have with this thing I still cant figure out what .msi and how to run this ".msi" If someone can help me with this part I probably can install the game. I pretty much know how to do use applocale and language setting and all the things except that i keep on having error that has to do .msi.

Strange... Installation went smoothly, but when I run it... FRIGGIN 5 FPS! I tinkered with options, but to no avail. With everything off on 640*480 its 5 FPS and with everything on on 1024*768 its 5 FPS. Am I seeng things?
