Admins: Please delete ever17

Dear admins,
the torrent of Ever17 English version here (http://datorrents.com/torrents-detai...d=11517&page=0) is an LICENSED english game. As per rules stated in the rules section, I plea that the admins stop the distro of this game. A Laura claiming to be from Hirameki also have replied for deletion of the torrent.

Ichigo lady will deal with it personally, so just wait for she to decide whether to delete or not.........hopefully by today, she can give you all an answer.

They're claiming. Doesn't mean they actually are from the company. You've more of a chance getting it removed if an email is to be received from ****@companyhere.com probably.

Hentai games are allowed, licensed or not. A Japanese Hentai game licensed by an American company does not make it an "English" game. It complies with current rules fully. In any case, our first concern is for DATorrents users, not a gaming company. You might want to try contacting the uploader.

If a company is wishing for a torrent to be removed, they're welcome to send an email to delta@deltaanime.net requesting the removal.

The email must come from the company's domain, any email coming from a free email provider will be disregarded.

Dagger906, contrary to what you seem to believe, Ever 17 is not a hentai game. I don't think any hentai games are rated "T" by the ESRB (http://direct.hirameki-int.com/catal...oducts_id/152).

I get pretty indignant whenever people automatically equate visual novels with explicit anime porn games (thanks to skewed exposure like that on X-Play). By that narrow definition, Snatcher and Phoenix Wright are both hentai games as well, despite having no adult content at all.

Anyway, Ever 17 and Phantom of Inferno are both Japanese games that have officially been released in the US, and neither of them contain adult material (though both are designed a more mature audience). Therefore, they are not hentai games. If you have not already, please remove these torrents from your site.

I think the point of Dagger's post was that this tracker currently has no rule against uploading of such games (hentai or otherwise). The game will be removed as Delta said, upon receiving a verifiable request from the company.
One of the DaT admins, Ichigo, has managed to contact the Laura in the comments section who said she was with the company.
In any case thanks for clarify the distinction.

Thank you kindly for your complete and thorough response on this subject. The offending torrents have been removed at the request of Hirameki, not at a specific users request. Please consider this matter closed.

If you have further comments, complaints, or flames, feel free to address them with me, as this is one of the departments I administrate. I have conversed via email with the company that currently holds the licensing for US and Canada for them, and on their direct request they were removed.
