| No Life ![]() | Leechers and Seeders.. Sorry if this is the wrong place but I need to vent some frustrations.. When your seeding a file and you have peers downloading from you due to you being the only seeder. Isn't it annoying that when they're finished getting the torrent from you that they stop seeding? >_> I really could do without having to constantly seed. But due to my low share ratio I have and all the peers with incomplete files.. Anyway. Feel free to vent about leechers who get the files and don't seed ![]() Currently Seeding: Funky Cat Maybe, Cherish Pizza, Galaxy Angel II Wing Of Destiny Special DVD |

| Guest | Well here is just a idea. The ones that complete first are taking most the speed from you right? Well get a client that can ban IPs and simply ban the ppl that are 20-30% farther ahead then the swarm so that they are forced to seed more before they get a complete copy. May not stop it 100% but it will at least will help the situation. Also do you super seed? That is the fastest way to get a file evenly shared and get more seeders up faster. |

| Spammer ![]() | super seeding is available on utorrent.. download on www.utorrent.com yah i agree with twist86 idea, u can ban 24 hour on peer that almost finish download around 90% something... or just seeding another torrent... but anyway please keep your ratio good.. to avoid ip banningthis my suggestion to make your ratio increase faster.. Well, you can disable DHT , peer exchange, so most of your uploaded will be using the tracker.. If there is more than one tracker, u can delete other tracker.. use this http://tracker.datorrents.com:6969/announce.php --->>> this is the the datorrents trackers |

| Spammer ![]() | It doesn't mean if all your torrent come from DA, all of that include the DA tracker.. Well some of the DA torrents are using the External Trackes.. which sometimes do not include the DA tracker "at all", so this mean, even though you have upload 1 GB, it wont be save on DA tracker.. http://tracker.datorrents.com:6969/announce.php -->> this is the DA tracker, please check your torrents To disable the DHT network If your are using BitComet : 1. Click option 2. Chose Preferance 3. Chose Connection 4. Untick the "Enable DHT Network" If i not mistaken, bitcomet v0.58 have started used the DHT nodes... |

| Guest | Utorrent would be a better choice. DHT is good for sites that dont keep ratio so you can hurt yourself on speeds on other trackers...BUT Utorrent can allow you to disable DHT on a single torrent thus fixing this problem. On Utorrent just double click the torrent and a box will open showing you the trackers of the file. If it isnt DA then seed to 1.0 and move on. This box will also have super seed and your DHT options in it making it easy. Last edited by Twist86; 05-22-2006 at 03:18 PM. |

| Spammer ![]() | I agree, twist86 uTorrent is better, it also provide, peer exchange,DHT, and super seeding... but what i don like from uTorrent is i cannt ban people that only leech. My suggestion, use uTorrent while seeding... ( i m also using uTorrent for seeding only).. |

| Guest | Well if you really want to block an IP, you can use the ipfilter.dat file. From the utorrent FAQ page: What is ipfilter.dat? This is a simple text file that specifies IP ranges to block. The format is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy You can also use single IPs on a line (i.e. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx). It ONLY supports blocks: it will ignore all text specified afterwards (such as what BLM and Tiny BLM does). Do not pad IPs with 0s to ensure that it will work (i.e., write 64.12.15.0 not 064.012.015.000), though it is reported to work anyway. Place it in %AppData%\uTorrent, and set ipfilter.enable to true in the Advanced. To reload ipfilter.dat without restarting Torrent, simple set ipfilter.enable to false, then to true again. |
