ok, stupid question, but how do you 'open' a .torrent?

Gow do I actually open it and see what is inside it?

You need a BitTorrent Client like uTorrent or Azureus. The torrent file doesn't hold the actual content, just the information to download and upload it. If however you're interest in the actual format of a torrent file BitTorrent.org has the specification.

well.. some of file using the .rar format or .ace format..
if that the case, we can not see what data is, unless we have finish download..
There are some of the torrents, you can see what the inside.. usually only have 1 file..
