Problem Regarding Amount Uploaded and Downloaded

Have u disable the DHT ?

How many trackers the torrents had? Delete all, Make sure ONly DA tracker..

The amount of my upload and download are being tracked extremely unevenly. While there isnt a pattern, I occationally do not get counted for my uploads and downloads. Most recently was last night 8/6/06. Just thought I should mention it, thank you.

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you are referring to. I have not changed any settings since I registered. Only problem that may be the issue is that I am currently logging in from a different location, but that shouldnt matter since I didnt change my IP, and that's how I'm being tracked right?

If you're on a different IP, have you logged in to the tracker?

If you have logged in to the tracker, have you checked to make sure its the correct IP?

DHT = decentralized tracking (ie. no tracker required). This however, distorts both your uploads and downloads, since not all data will be going through the tracker, so you might not get your stats reported correctly.

Some torrents have multiple trackers listed, just in case one goes down, etc. This also can distort your stats, since you, or us, can't be sure whether you're actually on our tracker, or one of the other trackers listed in the torrent.

DHT is something like backup tracker..
If the DA tracker is down, you still upload / download used DHT that why i recommended disable DHT so your ratio will show propertly ..

Log in from different places is doesnt matter.. the only thing you mustnt do is download or upload..
If you download or upload (after you log in ) from different place ( different IP ), your record wont be recorded at all..

I kind of understand it better. Easiest way is just to reregister the new IP then? It wouldnt cause any future issues correct? as I am only using it for 2 weeks.

well, you dont need to re-register your IP because the tracker will automatic update ..

You can't really do anything to prevent a timeout. The tracker is probably just overloaded but if you just wait it out it should stop timing out eventually. Personally when I get even one timeout from the tracker I usually avoid using it altogether till it starts working properly (every time) again.

That is correct. The problem is that while the IP is changed to the one I am currently using, and that the torrents i'm seeding and leeching all show up, nothing is being counted. So I am not sure what is going on. I have uploaded around 10 Gig, starting from sunday, and none of it showed up.

Stats are only credited at the end of a session, so yeah.

Also, did you stop the torrent manually? Just closing your client without stopping the torrent screws up stat reporting.
