fate stay night problems

hi there i downloaded the game called fate stay night from here

now ive been able to install the game ok via images using daemon tools and alchol 120, now heres my problem, i go to app locale and set the Fate.exe as the startup and choose jpn font.

now when i go to click on it and play it comes to a box in jpn writing but its asking for CD 3....anway i din know wtf to do i decided to do this

i mounted the image of cd 3 with daemon tools then clicked on Fate.exe in app locale and it ran ^^

ok but heres my real problem, is there any way of burning this to disc, i was able to use alcohol 120% for both cd 1 and 2 and burn them to disc ^^ but how can i burn cd 3 ? cos i cant use alcohol cos it comes back with an error and i think it also doesnt support .img files i also tried using nero 7, and i cant seem to burn the image with nero 7 either, or unless there is way to burn .img files with nero then could you help me, anyway can i get sum help putting this to disc, cos i dont wanna have to run off a image each time cos i wanna delete this so i can free up some hard drive space, thats why i wanna be able to burn this last item to cd ? can anyone please help me

ok i posted this same letter in another forum and here is their response

To burn IMG files in Nero you have 2 options:

* Rename the extension from .img to .iso. Then burn as usual.

* In the Burn Image dialog, change the file type filter from "Image Files (*.nrg, *.iso, *.cue)" to "All Files (*.*)". Then select the IMG file and burn as usual.

now here is my reply...hopefully from this someone out there might be able to help ?

i did waht you said and it burnt to disc but when i came to actually installing the games cd 1 and 2 worked fine then when it asked for cd 3 it din accept it, some error im guessign, then what i did next was mount the image with daemon tools,

(just a noter here: here are the items for cd3 in the folder
FateDisc3.cue
FateDisc3.img
FateDisc3.sub
FateDisc3.ccd)

now i had to select the .ccd for daemon tools cos when i went to select the .cue here is the message i got
unable to mount image: file not accesible

anyway i opened up the image and i in this folder here H:\rectify\makeunique.exe there isa picture for the .exe but when i burnt when i changed the .img to .iso liek you told me 2 it burnt and all but like i said i got some error so i right clicked the cd and went explore then went to the same folder H:\rectify\makeunique.exe but this time the .exe had no image just a blue window, so im assuming it din burn properly :? :?

but its weird i selected the lowet speed possible which is 4x

anyway i managed to burn it to disc adn get it installed properly using all 3 discs ^^

what i did was mount the cd3 to daemon tools then explored the image and copied all contents to my desktop then opened up nero 7 then went make data cd then burnt all the copied contents from the desktop onto cd, then i installed it just fine using all 3 cd's (this time when i checked the makeunique.exe on the cd it had a image so it now burnt fine 8-)

now your probably thinking well whats the F ing problem then :lol: :lol:

well cos the game is all in japanese i set it up to run through app locale

and when i click on it to run i get this message



then when i click ok several times i get this message



but this is even stranger ? i can actually get the game to run and start but only if i mount the cd3 image to daemon tools usind the .ccd like i said, and then when i click on the game in app locale it starts up :? :?

what is up with this ? can sumone please tell me how i can get this game to run off my cd and not have to run it off a image :?:

If I understand you correctly you shouldn't have to rename the img file etc. Undo any renaming/modification you may have done to the files then put the cue, img, sub, and ccd files in the same folder. If your using Nero, select burn image and set the file type to cue and burn it. I believe Alcohol 120% does support cue files.

If you still can't get it to burn you can mount it with Deamon Tools or Alcohol 120% and make an image from the virtual drive in a format you know you can burn (like iso or nrg).

ok i did what you said and changed the name extension from .iso to .img and here is a pic of what my folder looks like with the contents in it



and i also mounted the image with alcohol 120% and made a .mds and .mdf image of the mounted image, then i burnt the .mds with alcohol and select 4x speed (noter: this is the lowest speed i could choose) then i browsed the disc to make sure everyhting was fine, which it was, oh btw here is a shot of the cd ok



anyway i launched the game through app locale with cd in the cd drive and it loaded up to play almost; then i got these messages popping up





what can i do now, should i un install and re-install the game again now that i made a new disc 3 or should i have choose a different image type when making an image with alcohol 120% or what should i try now ?? cos as i stated i made a .mds and .mdf ??

cos as you can see from here even trying your method doesnt allow me to play with this new cd

You mounted it and made another image, I guess that means Nero and Alcohol still wouldn't let you burn it from the cue file? In any case since it's asking for the original disc, it is probably some form of copy protection. In order to use it you'll have to find some way around that protection. I recommend going here under the heading "CD/DVD Identifying Utilities", and download one of the copy protection identification tools. Once you know what you're dealing with you can probably find a crack.

When you tried to play the game with the image mount in Daemon Tools, did you have any of the copy protection emulation turned on?

yu hanks for the help man, i posted my same problems in another forum and they told me to use Slysoft's clone cd i did that and i burnt the .ccd with it and now i can play disc 3 just fine. ^^ looks like maybe the peson who ripped it maybe used clone cd but uh well as long as i got it to work now.

nuh its ok as long as you tried to help im appreciative of that, and to let people know of this thread im gonna post it in the comment section of the torrent there thatw ay people can know of this thread should they want to play of a cd instead of an image ^^.

I have another problem with this game too.
when i run fate.exe it said that tm.exe encountered error, what should i do.

actually, there is a file named makeunique.exe in third cd which generate some code and readme too.
readme is in japanese so i let altavista translate it and it says sth. like you have to send mail back to typemoon then they will send you REAL tm.exe (i think)

○対処方法

　　1. makeunique.exeを用いて、お使いのPCを示すユニークIDを生成して頂く。
　　2. 商品添付のアンケートハガキに、プロテクトチェックエラーが発生した旨と
　　　 PCのユニークIDをご記入頂き、弊社までご返送頂く。
　　3. アンケートハガキが到着後、すぐにお使いのPCで動作するtm.exeを返送します。

something that could be a lot of help to help you run FSN is running it from AppLocale. Have your 3rd disc mounted. then start AppLocale and load up Fate.exe thru AppLocale, that should allow you to play the game no problems. It's still in Japanese tho, so it's hard to follow.

*note: To download AppLocale, you might have to have a legit copy of Windows since the only place I know where to download it from checked my CD-KEY and validated it. In other instances you could have someone else download it for you and just send it to you if your copy of windows is not legitimate.
