| Hello folks, I come here quite often, altough I login only to post something. Like now... First, thanks for your hard work for us, but.. There is again issue with pictures in gallery. I re-read this new forum, but except this topic with obsolete links I was unable to find anything. There was some easy way if pictures didn't work. A simple change of link, but now, it is gone and I do not remember it. Is there any possibility to find that topic somewhere in old backups and make it sticky or just the instructions is fine. P.S: thing with tracker made me sad, but if it caused trouble, I can live with it...

| Dreamer through Time ![]() ![]() | Are you using Firefox? Depending on which add-ons you're using, it might make the Gallery thing you're trying to hotlink, so try a few ones and refresh to see if there's results. Otherwise try IE or Chrome, but try first with Firefox as explained above...

| Dreamer through Time ![]() ![]() | I had the same issues, and tracking the cause down on Firefox took a while as it could have been any of a dozen reasons and settings... In my case I finally figured it out; I got the gallery showing images again by changing in about:config (firefox settings, access by typing that in tab) network.http.sendRefererHeader back to the default 2 (changing it to 1 didn't have an effect) (usually I let it be 0 ie it doesn't send any info about which sites you're coming from...) It might be a bit work to change it any time I want to view the DaT gallery, but I do understand the mechanics are necessary to avoid hotliking... (of course the crafty ones could always forge those headers...) I'm not too sure it's exactly the same issue as OP as I doubt a normal user would do these things (mess with about:config) and as far I know there's only one firefox add-on that let's you change that parameter directly from a gui. However there are other add-ons that change it automatically as part of whatever task they're doing, which I think applies in OPs case...

| Your friendly neighborhood lolikon ![]() ![]() ![]() | Woooo :) Blanchi, that would do it. At this point, the gallery (or specifically, webserver that sends the images to be displayed from the gallery,) requires that referer to be there. If it's not, the gallery assumes that you're coming from a site that's either changed that referer, or more specifically, is not datorrents's gallery. IE: hotlinked from another site. Just a note, user's might not change this setting specifically, but some addons for firefox DO change this setting, most of them designed for private or anonymous browsing, or others. So it's not odd for it to be changed even if you don't remember changing it ![]() Hope this helps fixing some problems!

| Your friendly neighborhood lolikon ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just another update! Okay, sorted through the referrer mess, now, everything should be working good for even those that dink with their referrer. Basically if you use a web anonymizer or any service like that, or even privacy addons for firefox... You should be okay now. If things still misbehave, please let me know... If people don't say anything, I can't fix what I don't know is broke! ~Enjoy ichigo

| Yeah, sorry... I forgot to mention (I have to stop writing anywhere after 3.am). I'm using Opera, JS turned off, no flash installed. I have referrals blocked, but it worked here before with these settings (even day before I wrote that post). This happens here time to time and then the problem vanishes. I dunno why. When I use TOR everything seems OK. Now everything is fine, thanks a lot guys.
