| Spammer ![]() ![]() | What do you mean by, it doesn't work or the file doesn't exist? Can you cite a more specific example? If you are downloading a torrent, it needs to be 100% before you can view it/use it. And if it is a movie, you will need a decoder inorder to play it, bec. some files are in .avi, .mkv, .xvid, .divx, etc. I'm not familiar with mac, I'm a pc user, but try to find out what kind of video format your movie player supports, If you don't have a decoder you can go here http://mac.majorgeeks.com/downloads32.html, download a decoder for free. As for how torrents work, it's p2p, the files are downloaded between peer to peer, so if a certain file has many seeds or peers, you will be able to download it faster, so the opposite is also true, if the file has a few seeds or peers, it will download slowly, And if does not have any seeds or peers, you will not be able to download it. Now, if you're asking, how do I find out about this? Look into you're utorrent client, under there you should find a tab named PEERS or you could find it next to the line of the title your downloading named SEEDS and PEERS, the active ones are the number preceding the ones in the parenthesis. If you need more info. you could try checking this thread I've made Pls read this if you want ot be reseeded or if your torrent is currently stuck!. Hope this helps. |

| Spammer ![]() ![]() | Let me get this straight, when you mean "finish downloading it", I'll assume it's 100% on your utorrent client. Then when you say "zip files", I'll assume you are downloading a manga here. As for "I can't open it as it says no files exist", this one I don't understand. If you are opening a zip file you need to extract it first, before you can view it, meaning you need to have a program that can extract the file, my vista has one, I don't know about your mac os, but if you don't have have one, search for it at major geek, eventually you'll find onbe that is free. If it's not that then, you need to search for the file itself, I don't know how the mac os works, but I'll assume it has a search function, so search for the file in your hdd, if you find the file that you have downloaded, and if it still says "no files exist", then that means you really have not downloaded it. Another way to check for the torrent is through the torrent client itself, usually through the option add torrent, if you have already downloaded it, this one would say 100% and your torrent status will be "Seeding" instead of "Downloading". The reverse would be true, if you have not downloaded the torrent, the status would be "Downloading" instead of "Seeding", it will also give you an ETA (The estimated time when the download will be finish). So for the sake of checking the validity of the torrent why don't we try downloading the file again, I'll try to give you a guide on how to do this. Now after you've search for the title you want to download, let's say a manga from datorrents, click on it. your torrent client (utorrent) will now tell you to save the torrent file. This is not the torrent itself but rather a file containing info. concerning the torrent your downloading and where you are downloading it, this file is usually denoted by the symbol for your torrent client, my torrent client is BITTORRENT so the symbol is like a green square with several white lines that looks like a wave. So you save this, usually in the download folder, then after that your torrent client (utorrent), will prompt you again this time with the name of the file/s of the torrent you are trying to download, and the path where you want it to go, like a manga folder in your directory and such. After you have given your assent, the torrent will now begin downloading. By clicking on your torrent client (utorrent), you can now check it's progress, like I said before it's needs to be 100% before you can use/view it. I hope this helps. bec. frankly, I think I'm grasping at straws here, bec. I know next to nothing how a mac os works. Hopefully someone from datorrents with a Mac os will come along and help you too, goodluck. |

| Spammer ![]() ![]() | Dude after you have extracted the torrent game you have downloaded did it give you files with .iso and .mds extensions? If the answer is yes, then that means, that inorder to play this game you either have to burn it on a dvd or mount it. By "mounting it" means that you will need a software that can create a virtual drive that tricks your computer that the files you have is on a dvd, when actually it is not. One example of a software that can do this is DAEMON TOOLS LITE, you can download it for free here Downloads :: DAEMON-Tools.cc I do not know if this software will work on a mac os, but if not you can go to the link I provided you earlier at MAJORGEEK, look at the MAC section, and download a virtual drive program. If you want to understand the Japanese txt in the game you will need AGTH, this software, let's you capture the japanese txt found in the game, you can download it here along with all the stuff you need to know about it (guides). Boys' Love Games Headquarters - Translation Tool: Anime Games Text Hooker You will also need the software that will actually do the japanese-english translation, it's called ATLAS, and you can download it here Trial Version : FUJITSU Yes it is a trial version, if you want the files to make it permanent, download it here Nova pagina 1 you can also download his dictionary, to improve the game translation. Again, I do not know if this software will work on a MAC OS, because I never had one. Goodluck, hopefully this helps you in any way. |
