| Beginner | Text not displaying in Kanon So I downloaded the visual novel Kanon last afternoon. When I installed it, the text was all betas and gammas and question marks, which I assume was due to differences in coding between Japanese and English, but this didn't present a challenge. Anyway, the game loadsup just fine, but when I try to start a new game or set the name, the text doesn't appear and the game freezes. This has happened on both the computers I tried it on. Now, I can display Japanese and Chinese just fine in my web browsers, so I assume the problem is due to either lack of required fonts or the evolving standards of coding, as Kanon is a slightly old game. Help me out, guys! |
