| Mmorpg...addiction! Call me a hypocrite, but I used to detest mmorpgs, but then I played runescape, and I was addicted it would seem for a while. It was fun back then with the limited mmorpgs that I knew about, but now I know there must be better mmorpgs. I've played FLYFF and Ragnarok, but didn't get the same feel that I got from runescape that you get when you chop trees or cook your food and go in parties underground and get mobbed by high-level monsters and have to run away all the while viewing from a crappy camera angle just clicking away. Anyways, the new games I've played definitely look better, but I was wondering if there was an MMORPG that is "FREE" and plays engagingly w/ or w/o a party, and looks great too. It doesn't even have to be a battle-system game, I'm just looking for a new, engaging, role-play, because repetition(i.e. hacking and slashing with the same move to reach reach level 60 afterwhich you get bored if you didn't already by level 25) is dull. | |

Posts: 1,707 | I could give you a seemingly never ending list of free 3D MMOs but they all get repetitive after a while, the 2 that I'm into at the moment is Scions of Fate and RAN Online, I just recently discovered RAN. RAN is based in modern Japan in the city area, you 3 different schools to choose from. Each school has the same classes to choose from: Fighter, Swordsman, Archers, and Qi users. Qi is basically the mage/healer. As you go around killing enemys you level up and new quest comes out, just like every other game out there. But this game just has a different feel to it then the others. As for Scions of Fate see myh other thread about it.

| i cant say i have loved runescape as i only played it when i had no other choice... but iw been playing mmo's far and wide. i can say i was addicted to them for long time but then i got off the hook somehow, they just started to seem boring and having too much grinding... at top lvl everything just seems to go for grinding "fun stops" or so... | |
