| my fav and hated mmo's Top 5 fav mmo's of all time. 1. Eve Online - has the best of everything, no other game can compare to the complexity definately worth my 15 bucks a month. 2. Rappelz - for a free to play game it sure does have some sweet graphics and a rather indepth pet system which is quite cool. 3. Planetside - the only mmofps out at the moment and definately a very addictive game, used to be pay to play but they now have a free "fodderside" version which is worth checking out. 4. knightonine - played this game for 2 years straight non stop, knightonline's pvp system is fantastic and no other game ive played has matched its addictiveness, be warned tho do not pay for any extras that k2 offer they are a F rated company for a reason :P 5. Dark age of camelot - A Classic and even tho its been out for years now it still puts WoW and guild wars to shame. Top 5 hated games. 1. Runescape - i tried getting into it i really did but i just could not understand why millions of players play this game ... its horrible. 2. World of Warcraft - NO COMMENT!!! 3. Guildwars - no sense of accomplishment which is essential to any mmo. 4. Archlord - low budget free to play game that you have to pay for, i was one of the unfortunate souls that did the inital closed beta tests, and i can say this game will not last pick any free to play game you want and i guarntee you that archlord is shittier by far. 5. Planeshift - i really feel bad for this game im very pro open source and when i see an open source product this bad i feel like killing kittens, this game is really pathetic and should be dicontinued to stop any further embarressment to the opensource community. top 5 anticipated mmo's 1. Huxley - MmoFps running on the unreal 3 engine very sexy and i cant wait 2. Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning - yarrrrrr over sized hammers and and pure pvp goodness <3 3. Gods and Heroes - a very awesome looking game that promises to have over 1,200 quests on release, not bad considering its ment to be a pvp based game ![]() 4. 2Moons - 2moons is made by the same person who designed earthworm jim and enter the matrix need i say more 5. eveonline expansion - just around the corner and is gonna kick *** ![]() | |

| world of warcraft is like ruinscape ... there are plenty of games out there that surpass it but for some reason ppl still keep playing it and not only do they keep playing it but they're infecting all their friends to play it too. its a never ending vicious cycle that will consume us all if its not stopped now. and on a side note, i was looking around file planet the other day and came accross a newly released huxley vid showing off the ingame footage which is very sexy indeed, now u have a look at the game and think eh it looks just like unreal tournament. the difference is the battles that take place make a difference they level you up they complete missions needed for your clan to grow everything done in the game has a purpose and not jsut another point on a competitive ladder anywas enough rambling time for some linkage youtube low quality Fileplanet high quality you need an account for the fileplanet download but i dont think u need to be a subscriber. | |

Posts: 1,078 | I can understand why you don't like Guild Wars for that reason, but, you really shouldn't judge JUST for that. While I agree that there isn't a sense of accomplishment, the game isn't geared for that. It was made to be as the name says, "Guild Wars". It is meant for PvP and GvG ladders and tournies. Not for its main campaigns.

| No matter which way i put it my personal opinions on games(which this is) will be judging them for how i view the games highlights and downfalls. When i look at guild wars i see a game with ok graphics with so so pvp, you cannot base a mmorpg around it if you want it to live as long as other mmo titles such as eve or DAoC. Now im not saying this isnt a complete waste of time but for a competetive gamer that needs more then cheap thrills to get that sense of acomplishment they are better off steering clear of this game and save their pennies for something more indepth. For the casual gamer tho i can see this game being a hit, nothing better then playing an mmorpg that you dont have to work for to get to the stage of competetive pvp which is great for kids who's parents dont let them spend alot of time gaming. | |
