The Technocracy of Paragus is a massive, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its devotion to social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 3.43 billion enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Defence. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, and Soda Sales industries.
Guns are banned, the nation is currently revamping its entire education system, the public health bureaucracy is wrapped in miles of red tape, and elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Paragus's national animal is the hippie, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the credit.

I ruined my nation some time back.. I got a bill asking to allow differences to be settled by duels.. i said yes, and now i have complete anarchy ;_;
