Huxley is a soon to be released MMORPG. I recently quit WoW and am looking at this game to be my next big MMO. After playing Wc3, WcTFT, WoW, and then L2, the fantasy genre is getting a little old.(Even though it will always be my fav.) This game looks amazing and the more I read about it the more I love it. There are two factions the "Sapiens" and the "Alternatives," so there will be some intense PvP between the two. I think this game will be a breath of fresh air from WoW and the screen shots look amazing. The company (Webzen) seems to be doing a very good job of keeping everything balanced, and I'm hopeing Huxley will live up to its hype.

Firstly its a MMOFPS with a true RPG element, but the game is looking very promising, i've watching the game develope for over a year now and im still very eager for its release. But there are a few things that kinda scare me, like the fact that they are having combined servers where xbox360 players will play side by side or versus PC users, as everyone with half a brain knows console controllers cannot compete against keyboard and mouse, so basically xbox users will get isolated in the game and more then likely be forced to play the npc missions instead of getting into large scale pvp. Also webzen has stated over and over that this is the first mmofps even tho anyone who knows about mmo's knows that Planetside unoffically holds that crown (there was one other mmfps but it failed) this look rather bad on webzens behalf when they are trying to cut into sony's market. one last thing to pick at befor i go to bed, webzen has just signed a large contract with an advertising company for in game ads now whether this drops the price in subscriptions or wavers it completely i can only see this being an anoyance and uneeded lag with the already heavy system requirements (remember its a true mmo using unreal3's engine).

On the plus side webzen is famous in korea for its backend server software making it possible for alot of mmo's in korea to increase capicity to abnormal levels with out the increase of lag. Webzen has also signed alot of sponsors who are happily surporting webzen's growth giving them enough fundage to make huxley a success even if only in korea and china, lets prey the deal with the usa gaming industry doesnt fall through :S

Lastly 2 other games to look out for that are currently being produced by webzen is APB and SUN, APB is being co-designed by webzen and the ppl who brought ya Grand Theft Auto, Basically this will be a MMO of Grand Theft Auto with you choosing which side of the law u choose and all the rest of it. SUN aka Soul of the Ultimate Nation is a very sexy looking mmorpg that should be out befor xmas, taking the best parts of console rpg's and adding a mmorpg element to it. sound familiar ? yeah it very much does sound like its a guildwars clone but i think SUN will out do guildwars with its proposed pvp areas where races fight against each other in an all out battle, kinda like knightonlines pvp area aka colony zone.
