Old Games Under WinXP

Any of you experience a problem while running ex. true love under windows XP? the game slows down under xp at my computer.. most of the old hentai games is windows wersions so it cannot emulate under dosbox, mabye you know of some sort of other software/patch that helps it run smoothly..
Also problem with psycho pinball (not hentai), does anyone have a solution??

and finaly i need an crack for the english version Crescendo, if i run the japanese version crack exe i cannot use my old save files..

Try using the Compatibility engine by Right clicking on the EXE file, and selecting properties and clicking the Compatibility tab, and setting it to Windows 98.

That is a big fake, i have never ever got old dos/win games to work with that microsoft compatibility thing

Considering that I can play my copy of True love using this method, and believe it or not, it does actually work, just not all the time on every program.

Anyone tryed programms like DosBox or so?

Yep, I use it to play a few old dos games. It works quite well in most cases, they also have compatibility chart on their site.

As for playing Win9x games, if you have a copy of 98 laying around somewhere, Microsoft is giving away Virtual PC 2004 for free.
