Questions about the tracker and registration

1st post... Not sure if this is the right spot.

Firstly, I gathered that unregistered users to the tracker were supposed to be denied access yet I have downloaded 2 (or 3?) torrents and am now waiting for my seed ratio (individually) to get to a value I personally like (assuming it's healthy when it comes time to stop seeding and I have the HD space to keep holding it out there a bit longer). I wouldn't even be here if I had been denied to start with though so this isn't so much of a complaint as a thank you for that erring on the side of trust. Of course I may be speaking from having become jaded towards closed trackers (from both sides of experience). It was a pleasant surprise.

Second, should I register with the tracker, do I have to have some web page open all the time or can I happily keep seeding (or downloading, but seeding is what I am doing right now) with the knowledge that the traffic from my IP address is being logged to my account (assuming of course that I actually bothered to log in at some point in the near past but didn't keep the page open).

Third, is there any problem with my preferred client (Azureus, non beta) or with people that don't have mega fat pipes (slow a** dsl vs a multi mbit cable connection)?

Fourth, well I found (again) what I was originally asking about so now for some clarification. Should I get several files (define get: download the torrent, get the data for the torrent with my client, seed to my satisfaction, then remove) and then go missing for a bit, is my account still up for deletion? Also does logging into it now and again (say once a month) keep it open, assuming the preceding. I do have other torrent files to seed after all, specifically I just downloaded a 35 gig archive of a website and I let my client handle what torrents gets first dibs to bandwidth based on non-stock settings.

Lastly, what forum is a good place to post something like a game faq (since I haven't seen one for this game). It's This game btw. I know about that text file that was put up on a web page (check the comments), a good start but doesn't have much where the full game is concerned. Also is the forum etiquette that I have become familiar with appropriate here? If I have something to add and no-one has posted below my post that I should edit my post original post with the new content rather than posting again. I have been on forums where post editing was frowned on and want to know where I stand before stepping on those toes.

Yeah I know it's a bunch but I have been burned far too often by setups similar (*on the surface*) as this. If you see my post count get above this one then I will probably be here for a while. If not then I will treat stuff from here like I would any other open system while it's open... or seems open to me.

DaTorrent's is an open tracker and community. In addition to the tracker and forums we have IRC channels on irc.deltaanime.net. #datorrents has several bots that have a selection of anime, music, and games you can direct download. See http://forums.datorrents.com/showthread.php?t=5361 for a list of what is available. You can join #datorrents-chat to talk with other member and staff. The tracking of stats and the banning leechers has been discontinued. There were questions about the accuracy and reliability of the stats system. Registration is optional, but any warning etc related to the tracker will be sent via private message to your tracker account. Also you'll need to have a tracker account if you wish to upload new torrents or leave comments. Registration is optional though.

There is no problem with using Azureus. All users are strongly encouraged to seed back what they download from the tracker. Other than that no problem I am aware of exists with connection speed.

Account that have been inactive for 3 months are subject to deletion. If you login once ever month you'll be fine.

http://www.gamefaqs.com is a good place to post and get walk throughs etc for various games.

As for forum etiquette, double posting is frowned on so if you have more to add to post please use edit. The rest I would think is pretty obvious, don't spam, stay on topic, and treat others with respect. You can find a listing of rules at

Thanks for the welcome.

I didn't know gamefaqs handled h-games, not that I have looked often, but when I have I have found faqs, I have found them on other sites (often through forums). I am in the process of taking the game apart since I don't speak (or read) the language... I suppose this and more is for a different thread or rather if I find a spot gamefaqs.

gamefaqs works well for the english translated hgames, for the japanese ones not so well, but still decent, if the hgame is popular enough.
