| Hello to you all. I'm very new to this torrents so please go easy on me .I have alot of question about torrents so yeah... lets jump into it. 1. Seeding? What is seeding? Of what I have read its something there happends after I downloaded a torrent, and I should do this becuase? So lets say I download a 3.4 gb movie or something like that, and I will seed that. Now with a 40 kb upload makes it really slow. Is there any way I can make it faster? 2. Create a torrent? Ok I googled "how to create a torrent" and found some info. I found this webpage: http://torrentfreak.com/how-to-create-a-torrent/. It said I will need a program like utorrent to create one. By defualt I use Ares to download torrents. There shouldn't be anyone know how to create one with Ares? What I'm allowed to share? On your frontpage: Quote:
.3. Leecher? So how do I evade becoming a "leecher"? Seed things? Upload files? Thank you ![]() ~Mr. Zero

| Forum Goderator | Seeding = uploading after you've finished downloading a torrent. Why should you do this? Cause its the right thing to do. If nobody uploaded after they're done, how's the next person going to download? We generally do not encourage p2p progs such as Shareaza, Ares, etc because they don't share. And I'm not even sure if Ares can even create a torrent. Well, you don't have to share something new to not become a leecher. If you're uploading your fair share (uploading as much as you download), then you're not leecher. You can achieve that by seeding what you've downloaded.

To download a torrent, simply click on the link of the "download torrent". As far as for our tracker goes, you just click the link beside the tracker label. Say if you go here --> http://datorrents.com/torrents-details.asp?id=20038 you would click the Bloodshadow.torrent Now you cannot just view the file by opening it. To open the torrent file, download a hexviewer, say winhex, google it up, download the software and open the torrent file with it. you can see lots of information there such as hex values and addresses. Ok I lied, to view a file from the torrent, you need to get a client, to get a client you need bittorrent. Go to bittorrent.com click "download bittorrent" and it will lead you to the download page. And an obvious thing to do is to click download once again to download the bittorrent. Ok I lied again, you do not need the bittorrent to get a client. Few good clients are out there like Azureus, bitcommet, uTorrent. Most guys here uses uTorrent, so that's what I would recommend as well. go to utorrent.com and download the client. Run the program, and open the torrent file with it. once opened, download will start automatically. Note that you may or may not view the contents prior to finishing the download.
