IRC assistance, pweese??

*bats eyes fetchingly*

uhm, yeah, when I try to connect to irc.deltaanime.net it keeps saying that it doesn't want to connect. Keeps saying, "Unable to connect to server (Software caused connection abort)" Any help?

I've had that problem before now, and it always seemed to happen while using mirc.

Since trying xchat, I've not had a problem. A much simpler program, that doesn't have as many plugins.

My friend said; "connection abort is generally a server side/net problem"

You can try /server kasumi.dairc.us 6667

Maybe specifying a server may help?

Then you may not be abe to connect at all sorry, usually it's server or client side but in reality nothing may help you connect sorry =(

What if you tried a web based client?

Have you got any firewall software on your computer? Zonealarm etc? or are you using a firewall router?

Try port 1459.

Also, this is like the error says due to a program, you'll have to provide us with a list of running programs if that's not a problem.

Alot of firewalls block communication through IRC port 6666-6669
