Forum Seeder?

Guys, I found a term, forum seeder. I Googled and pointed me to this forum. But still I do not understand what does a forum seeder do? Can anybody help? Do you use any software? What is the expected result after forum seeding?

I think it's a person that starts conversations/threads on forums, especially newer forums. Google probably bought you here because the word forum and seed are both present on the site.

I thought it has something to do with what is being discussed here as I am also newbie to some of the the forum's topics
