| Question about torrent sites, and upload requirements Hello, I've been going around all kinds of torrent sites and many of them require you to "upload as much as you download". I fully understand why this policy is followed, and I agree with it. I live in Israel. Israel, as you may or may not know, has a really crappy internet infrastructure. The bottom line is that the standard internet connection for regular people it 100MB download, 10MB upload. This means that unless I either pay for the "buisness connection" (you can get how much that costs) or move, I will only be able to upload about 1/10th of what I download. So, my question is this (your the unlucky site that that I was browsing and thought "damn, I need an aswer to this! ) : will a community with the above policy accept such a ratio, or will I be quickly banned for leeching?Yours, Hoping that he posted in the right forum. | |

| Forum Goderator | Have you taken a look at internet plans in other places? I'm on what can be considered a 1500/256, so I'd download at 6 times faster than my upload. My friend is on 12000/1024, so thats 12 times. Almost everybody has a faster download than upload. You can spend more time uploading, or manage what you want to download, but it doesn't give you an excuse to have a 0.1 ratio. Thats what I think.

| Experienced | Yah as Seorang said.. Almost everyone had more faster download's speed compare than upload.. what you can do are : 1. Upload until 100% or more ( Dont forget to disable the DHT and if the torrents had more than 1 tracker, delete all except the DA tracker ) 2. Download from other tracker, after that create a new torrent for it using DA tracker only then upload it to Here ( Dont try to upload torrents that still alive, search ) Torrent allocation http://www.datorrents.com/forums/sho...9986#post19986 |
