| - | I use one called DVDFab Decrypter. You can find it in the downloads section of Doom9.net - The Definitive DVD Backup Resource to make it region free so anyone can play it without having to hack/patch their player. No not all DVD burning software will let you rip, many (like Nero) won't copy protected discs. You can get Alcohol 52%, it will rip them. Or you can decrypt them an then use your DVD burning software on the decrypted files. Last edited by prh99 : 11-28-2007 at 01:53 PM. |

Posts: 11 | i'm new to the whole torrent thing and bassically all i know about them is that limewire can download with them lol. however i do use and highly recomend Anydvd (same thing as Alchohol basically) which disables the copywrite protection and region lock on discs allowing you to copy them. i also have clone cd and clone dvd but as long as i keep Anydvd running i find it faster to just use NERO to copy stuff. |

| - | Yep there is a lot of good software for doing this kind of thing. Just as an addition to my previous comment: The previously mention Doom9.org has various guides as does VideoHelp.com - Forum, Guides, Tools and hardware lists in case you want to re-encode and/or add subtitles etc. |
