Just something I noticed...

If you come to the forum frontpage without automatically logging in, you're welcomed with the usual 'welcoming' text...

It also mentions that you could have your own blog...
...a feature that doesn't exist(if it does, it's too well hidden...)

Either take out that mention in the text, or implement the possibility for a blog somewhere...

AND perhaps a cleanup of the text(it's a bit bulky(and perhaps a bit repetitive)... and some of it is a bit awkward;

"Download torrents from our free download section."
wouldn't it sound better with something like;
"use our tracker for the latest (anime) torrents and browse it's huge backlog as well"
(something shorter than that, I'm not good with short sentences...)

"Post your own screenshots, photos, and Anime or browse images uploaded from other users."
perhaps something like this instead;
"Browse our Gallery with ? images in different categories as well as contribute to it"

i think we are missing something very very important.

- when making searches i would like to have it also search by catagory also.

- also i kind of wish for stuff that is uploaded to be labeled what language it is in. (i hate downloading anime/manga and its in french or japanese or some other foreign language)

when i am searching for an anime episodes or manga, i dont like having all these doujins or hentai series pop up when it is entire irrelevant to what i am looking for. that way i can filter out the hentai, hentai manga, etc. catagories so it will make searches a lot easier.

also i know what shauna is talking about the donations stuff. for example, instantz has a "minimum requirement" of $200 dollars to run when all they do is post up the link to anime/Jdrama on VehoTV. also they run a torrent for the one piece they sub but i dont think that should even come close to costing $200 dollars.

well thats all the advice i have for now, but i think overall the site has improved plenty.

uhhm when you search u can uncheck "search all categories", the different category will drop down then.

I think that we could put a what's new section at the front page that displays the 5 newest torrents maybe? and perhaps also put a list of about 5 torrents that are labeled "torrents needed seeding" in order to help in the seeding, since not all members of datorrents are a member of the forums, and not all members can see who has a request for seed unless they check it out under the Torrents Comments subforum

This thread is a bit old, but if you're still open to suggestions....

I'd really love to be able to sort torrents based on the number of seeds/peers when I'm searching/browsing.

There are some inactive forums and threads (e.g. some Winamp forums) that just stand there. The last post in the oldest I was able to find was dated 08/21/2006... 2 years old
So my suggestion is that those inactive forums would be deleted. Also those locked, useless threads could be removed.

In my opinion the whole forum is in a need of an improvement.
Sure, it is clear and nice, I give you that but still I constantly get this feeling that something is either missing or there is something too much. (The change wouldn't have to be drastic...)
