Canadian shooting

Croc hunter got a thread, so I thought why not this.

Basically an idiot got a few guns and shot I think 20 people at a Canadian tertiary institution, before being killed either by police or himself (unclear atm). Despite this only one has died so far, so some people got damn lucky.
What I found most interesting where the responses he got on the online community he is a part of.

I have to agree with them: "There is no glory in what he did. It was a pathetic act and hopefully his death was miserable." I think "genetic debris" is a perfect description of him, although I'm sure his environment had something to do with it as well.

Anyway...thoughts?

People like that are sick. I mean, your life is ****, why make other people and their families miserable too? Be emo in your own time!

Saying that though, how emotionally damaged must someone be to crack like that one day and blow a lot of people away? We can criticise, but at the same time cannot empathise with the guys situation.

What I hate was the people who came on the TV.. when asked "What did he look like?"

Yet I'm willing to bet anything that Marilyn Manson would think what he did was terrible. So it doesn't seem right to do something his idol would condemn....I can't see what would make people actually do something like this. Actually pick up a gun, go to a crowded area, point it at people and fire. It just seems too out there for me. Regardless of your culture, music tastes, friends, personal problems, or whatever, I don't see what could make you actually want to do that.
And Mindfields....the people on VampireFreaks seemed totally against what he did, they thought he was an idiot for doing it. Except for "I understand you but, next time, or if someone have the same idea, please, next time kill gouvernment peoples"

Marilyn Manson just scares me.

A foolish and cruel act. It is dishonorable to attack unarmed and innocent victims. He ruined his life, and the life of others. Certainly not something to be proud of.
