Heres the deal, with Vbul, we have to BUY their smilies to get more. Currently we get ZERO donations so we cant afford it. Sorry!

isnt admins have the power to add emotionicons? ive worked with vbulletin boards and well you can......why buy them directly offthem? copyrigths?

yeah they have copyrights, and before we had the licensed version of vbul up (when we were testing) some jackass made sure to try and get us shutdown over it, so yeah. the smiley sets for vbul are purchase only, unless someone wants to make their own... (pretty sure that could be integrated). But as it is, datorrents costs us bout 200 a month to run, and we get 0.00 in donations per month soooooooooo upgrades are pretty much impossible except what we are working on ourselves (which u will be seeing soon so expect some nifty changes )

if anyone wants to MAKE some different emotes be my guest. if they look decent and we can get them added in, i will certainly do so!

....surely emoticons are overrated? I mean you can make them with symbols, and they look better like that. Besides, you should be able to communicate your feelings in words, unless you are some kind of geek with no life

have you guys looked at the Emoticon sets that phpBB has? I know that they are free, I've used them before.

Personally I think emoticons fail, and I try to use them MINIMALLY, because of course most of them a horribly done, Shauna has asked me to try out doing some and I will see how they go.

Tranmir regarding the kao's you have to buy those, because I already looked into/asked Shauna about those because theya re the cutest emotes I know of XDXD

Anyways, a side not to hypotenewt, can you cut down on the double posting? It really doesn't get the attention of staffers/users. Thanks ;D

I didn't pay for the kaos lol, and i've got them on both the licensed IPB forums i run, just came from random places on the net. Don't see how VB can force you to pay when you can get them free elsewhere. o.O
