What becomes of us after death? - Page 2

You know what happens after death, friend? nothing at all, we simply become worm-food and help the earth by becoming fertilizer. our conciousness ceases to exist the second our brain no longer functions. So when you think about it, your thoughts end the second your life ends. So in the meantime, keep yourself ticking.

it's the only reasonable thing to do.

Kid of a counter-arguement but, why worry about something we cannot know of or possibly have an affect on?

But, hey if you really want to know, there is always suicide... "... suicide is painless, It brings on many changes..."

about suicide. I've had to deal with so many people's suicide attempts at conventions (yes anime cons). I had to chase this guy at A-kon17 up 28 flights of stairs to stop him from getting on the roof and jump off, thank god the hatch to the roof was padlocked with a keycode. that was perhaps the only time running up rafters back in my days of football in high school became handy. but seriously, suicide is more problems for other people than you think. my worst time to deal with suicide (back in high school) was when a lady friend of mine called me on my cell and told me she was gonna OD on pills and end her life. I left from my house in my car and went to her place. banged on the door for like 15mins until she opened, grabbed her pills and flushed them. from there I took her to school since she was technically skipping, the school principal stops me on the way in asking why was I not in class, and I explained the story, and she suspended me for a week from school for skipping class and endangering another student, ENDANGERING, what an ***. at graduation when you had to shake her hand as you walked by I just made like I was gonna shake her hand and instead slicked my hair back with my right hand. ***, when people try to help other people, you don't punish them for their good deeds. anywho I seemed to be off-topic so sorry about that rant about suicide.

I was just simply wonderen what all your opions were. I personaly would have to say there is something afterwords.

There could be who knows. Maybe one day there will be a science dedicated to discovering the secrets of the afterlife.

*Sigh* Afterlife is ethereal, living in an "imaginary" world. Why use imaginary" B`coz we don't know what is really in there and for ages, even the Elder ones can't foretell what is really in afterlife.

i do believe there is some sortof afterlife but im not sure if any of the religions have it right

Now think of this. Our thoughts are unproveable correct? no one but you can hear them. We can not prove they exsist through the five senses, which is how science proves things. Numbers are a form or being able to see something, so mathimaticly stating wormholes exsist proves thier exsistance. Anyway, WE believe our thoughts exsist, as do some believe god and the after life and a few other things exsist. Dose that make them wrong no, but heres my take on it

Case and point. We can not PROVE that no after life exsists. Not through our 5 senses, nor any means of math. it is a matter of faith and faith alone.

By the way im not religious in ANYWAY shape or form my logic is supreme :-P

By the way i think our souls leave the body into a spiritual plane. I think the plane on which we think is where the soul resides. And on that lovely note imma go now KTHXBAI!
