dating diffrent race....

i know that this is a really really sensative topic to go by but then i really want to make a good discussion as well as a debate over it, please no 3 sentences. i want some participation in here.

this is brought up by another forum i was in where this topic was present and man oh man, you should see what this guy has to say!

A mixed kid does not look Chinese nor does he look white. And the last thing I want my kid to have to deal with down the road in his life is to look dumbfounded when he has to answer the question: What ethnicity are you? He's not white, but he's not Asian. What the hell is he?! He's eurasian? Yeah, but there's no bubble to fill in for eurasian. Personally, I think mixed kids looked screwed up. So no, I will not marry someone other then my own race, because I want my family to be of one race.

that was what he said. he is asian by the way. and i know that you have your own opinions but then does it have to go down the road of insulting another race? and think that your suprior then the other? there is more posts by this person :3 only because i started bishing him out and calling him a alternative member of the kkk which i though was fitting since he does hate gays, he is sexist and he hates every race that isn't chinese.

so what do you guys think about this? do you agree with what that person wrote? oh by the way the person is a 30+ year old man.

that mentallity will never allow to marry i mean if you marry is because you like the person so much, race have nothing to do with it i mean i am SURE not even him is 100% pure blood since all america was from indians and Spanish combinations there is no such thing as pure race and we are not damn dogs they need to learn that. if it was for me he needs to shots himself for beign so ignorant.

Yes, people in inter-racial relationships have to overcome several culural and social hurdles. Most care be crossed with tolerance, understanding, and love; sadly most people still can't see past skin color and/or legacy. Despite this, the kids from these relationships can have a bit of an identity crisis like that man said, even if he stupefies it down to filling in bubble. He must obviously must not be aware that most forms that ask people this have an "Other" bubble to make things a little easier.

Personally, I support inter-racial relationships. No harms comes from it, and I don't see why two people should have force themselves apart just because they were not born of the same ethnicity. But, yeah, sorry if I sound too idealist, but, that is how I honestly feel and have a hard time seeing how people are so worried about ethinicity. Last I checked, we are all human.

I don't have any problem with interracial relationships. If two people want to be together than so be it. It isn't anyone else's business. If the argument against it is that any children that result from the relationship won't fit neatly into society then I would say that's a problem with society than the child or the child's parents. From what I can tell race is fairly superfical way to classify people. The genetic difference between humans and chimps is roughly 2%, or 20 times larger than the variation among modern humans.

I wouldn't mind to marry any races as long it's doesn't force me to change religion like in my country if you marry with a islam women and man, you must change your religion.........I mean you just want to marry the person only why must you force people to join the religion if you really don't want it? ......Sorry, for those who is offended but it's the truth in my country.

In my country, we have a lot of mixed chinese and indian, so we call them chin-dian.......But thye really don't look like indian, they very fair, some even fairer than the white people.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Mixed kids look screwed up to me. I don't want to look at a mixed kid when I come home from work, b/c it looks screwed up. I believe that race is a factor in the family unit and it should consist of one race.

so isn't it sad to see that a 30+ year old man, living in ny and USA thinking like this at this time of age??
though the main factors is because of choice, and partents, i feel that his points, a lot of them were flawed in so many ways.

Some people don't look beyond the beauty of their own race, honestly, beauty can be found anywhere in any race, it isn't hard to find as long as you look. As for interacial relationships/marriages? I think they are worth it, after all you marry for love and not for the purpose of making a superior offspring, the world isn't that nazi these days, and the majority of human beings are semi decent.

It's because of that guy and people like him that kids of mixed races sometimes go through identity crisis in the first place. If these people just kill themselves, the problem would be solved.

Btw, such a guy won't be able to find a wife, because frankly, he requires a Chinese woman, and I doubt there's another Chinese person who's like-minded and would accept him. Now, if he was white, maybe, but not for a Chinese man in his 30's. So yeah, this creep will probably die alone.

It's government sanctioned religious cleansing. Islam men and women won't have to switch to another religion when married, only people of "undesirable" religions. The Indonesian region is particularily bad in this respect. I'm sure you've heard of the reoccuring government sanctioned ethic cleansing movements/riots against the Chinese. China has stayed quiet in the past for diplomatic reasons, but there's been increasing pressure as the media becomes harder to control. The next time it happens, China might very well send in troops. The region is an ignored powder keg that few people else think about. Things can fall apart really quickly. Not really a good place to live. Well, good luck out there...

i have no problem with inter-race relationships. as previous posters have indicated, its the feelings and the ppl in the relationship that matter. besides, it thier relationship, not others to choose for them. also if one of the partners is embarassed or shy about it, they do have a problem themselfs that they need to sort out. friend of mine is welch,irish, etc and his g/f is 'first nations' native. (for you ppl out there that is the politically correct name for ppl of native indians in canada). if fact she is due sometime in the very very near future. i dont think they gave a damn about what other ppl will say about his ethnicallity. the simple answer is " im ##% this, ##% that", etc etc.

But seriously, I have come across people like this, and I absolutely hate accidentally appearing rascist, it eats me up inside knowing that that someone thinks I hate them because of they're colour. I'm far from it, I don't even think of races, I see a person, look a person, wow. I don't see past that. And as for interracial relationships, how evolve if we kill ourselves through gene-pooling? Good lord, this man wants genocide! Its horrid really, but when I was talking about appearing rascist, I was referring to a time on Diablo2. Those of you who have played it should understand fairly easily, those of you who haven't, I'll try not to make it too complicated :P. I was in the final act, shortly before Baal (End Boss), a paladin joined the game (the paladin class is of a Nigro appearance), I was killed by an enemy called a Black Soul (A daemonic specter like entity which casts lightning), when I respawned, I typed "God damn black souls, I hate em >.<", he quickly replied "Dude... Why hate those you don't know, you rascists are a plague." and left. I tried to type an apology quickly but he was already gone.
