Male, 22 y/o, and still a virgin. Call me an idealist, but I think for the first time there should be some feelings between the two parties, and people shouldn't go out and lose it, just to lose it.

A fact is that I am still a virgin -- but that's because of my very very high standards -- it's hard finding a hot girl that isn't already with a guy -- and It's not really my style to steal a girl from someone...but if it keeps up I may have to. I just won't get with any girl just to lose it -- but if the girl is hot and willing, I'd be willing to lose it in a heart beat -- I hold no high values on virginity... though I wouldn't mind taking a nice hot woman's virginity

btw, I'm a decently attractive male, I do belive -- so that hasn't been the reason im still a virgin -- my extreme pickiness is probably the case -- I could have lost it 4 times by now...but I don't like fat ugly girls... I only like girls with fabulous figures -- I have a very keen sense of asthetics mind you -- I only look at beautiful women.

alright, so I feel a little put down by the fact that so many people are excusing their virginity at a late age with the "Im waiting for the right one" thing. I lost mine when i was young, and quite frankly Im not proud of it, nor am I ashamed of it. I don't think much of it or sex as a matter of fact. If you're a virgin, its fine..you don't need an excuse. I personally don't think that any "special" feelings need to be involved, needless to say its more enjoyable when they are. I used to think that my mentallity was due to the fact that Im a male, but apparently not. Don't get me wrong, I don't think theres anything wrong with "waiting for the right one", well...quite frankly, its just because I don't care much for the activity, but I feel that some may be using it as a simple excuse to cover their never fulfilled urge.

I'm surprised so many voted "Male- yes but want to lose it." I didn't think so many voters would be male. I comment on this because I too voted that.

I agree with Naegling, I'm male and virgin, I have a girlfriend. She isn't "hot", but I don't really care, attractiveness is simply a bonus, its not a requirement. I'm with her because she has an awesome attitude, and she won't whine over something insignificant, but she does have the typical afraid of bugs bit :P lol. I think that she would like for things to move a little faster, but I think she is fine with taking it slow, and I mean slow. We haven't kissed and we have known eachother for 2 years lol. I guess its just nice having someone who can understand my thoughts, that is likely what drew me to her. And in case you were wondering, I have a whole life ahead of me, plenty of time; this is why I am in no rush to lose my virginity, when the time is right, it will be all the better. Besides, whats so important or different about sex? That should be the real question lol ^^. Well, theres my whole spiel on the subject ^^.
