Each time I see a topic about dreams I feel out of place. I can't recall dreams. Not at all, when I wake up I either continue the dream in a lethargic sense for a min or two (this happens like twice a year) and then totally and utterly forget it within ten minutes. Or I don't recall it all at awakening or later on, the single dream I can with confidence say I recall is over ten years old. So Can't really help you with consecutive dreams, unless I am having sensory depridation and memory loss dreams consecutively? ;)

Same here, these people who can remeber their dreams leave me slightly jealous.

I always find people who don't dream strange (no offence). I have always drempt since being a kid, and most of the time I can remember what happened.

I have a very active imagination, so perhaps that has something to do with it. Or it could be stress and my mind not being able to relax properly.... who knows..?

I doubt imagination has anything to do with it. I've written creative works for myself, created unique fantasy worlds and doodled some stuff now and then. I also got the highest grade in the last art class I took. So I would rate myself as having an active imagination. I also have a VERY strong sense of realism, I very often notice things that doesn't fit in books I read and tend to shoot down my own ideas by breaking them apart.

I can't handle high stress, the only time I've ever seriously been stressed I got stomache(sp?) ache due to the acids generated. Normal everyday stress like a school deadline and so on is just fun though.

As to why some of us can't recall dreams wikipedia was unusually unhelpfull with just the following quote.

"According to Craig Hamilton-Parket, author of Fantasy Dreaming, many people find certain dreams extremely difficult to recall as they realize they just had a dream upon wakening, but cannot remember what the dream consisted of. However, people often won't be able to remember anything about a dream, and thus assume that the dream didn't take place at all. According to Henry Reed, author of Dream Medicine a useful technique to improve dream recall is to keep a dream journal."

i like times when you're dreaming and you know you're dreaming and therefore force it to go the way you want.

orrrrr

like once, I remember forcing myself awake from a dream, but woke up in another dream and woke up again. lollers

but uh, weird thing is that in all my dreams, it is devoid of faces. i know its certain people however, but i havent seen any faces or at least I can't recall them.

and i absolutely HATE waking up after a dream that you thought you came up with a plan to rid the world of disease or something. but then something happens soon after you wake up and you can't remember a THING except the fact that you had a genius of a plan before it flew away.

Watch Vanilla Sky by Tom Cruise

There's a statement from the movie "The subconcious is powerful".
