| R.I.P. Michael Jackson As some of you have heard, the King of Pop has died... Despite his downfalls, he was a fantastic entertainer, tremendous singer and godly performer. For now, this thread will be a tribute to MJ and his work. | Experienced ![]() ![]() | I used to be a fan of MJ when I was alot younger, though my musically tastes have certainly changed (metal, rock, classical, blues, jazz), I still have my utmost respect to him, even though he may fallen from grace in his latter years. I know no one would trully doubt his contribution to music, I am sure his enormous legacies would still live on among us. R.I.P. Michael. |

| It has to be said that his music did influence alot of pop idols today, in either his showmanship (dancing, stage personaility, and props) or his push to make his music videos more than just what eighties music videos were ( bands singing their songs in a black and white backdrop), but actually putting a bit of effort into the visual appeal (i.e. sets, mini-vinates of sorts, and budget). I like all of the cliche' Jackson songs, but i also like 'Who's Lovin You'. One last thing, why does MTV still claim to be Music Telivsion, it seems kind of self-defeating to its former self. |
