Favorite/Most Hated Villain

Okay, I assume we all agree that most stories would not be heroic without it's villains. So pls. feel free to write, who you think is your Favorite Villain and Most Hated Villain. Pls. write where it came (books, manga, movies, anime, games etc.) and also pls. tell your reasons for it.

FAVORITE VILLAIN:
1. HISOKA from Hunter X Hunter-
His the embodiment of what's cool in a villain.

2. HIDAN from Naruto.
This foul-mouthed member of Akatsuki is extremely funny, I hope he resurfaces again in Naruto.

MOST HATED VILLAIN:
1. Mitsoumi Takayanagi from Tenjho Tenge-
I wanted to see some Shin and Maya sibling action, but this guy had to ruin it.

2. Kazuhiro Mitogawa from Ga-rei: Zero
If you've watched the anime Ga-rei: Zero, then you would know how despicable this guy is.

Naraku-Inuyasha, cause he's a coward that only hides and sends his minions, get out and do something on your own for once

Well, it's either...
Sephiroth - Final Fantasy VII for...well...all he's done to raise our awareness of Jenova's goodness.
The Joker - Batman The Dark Knight. Isn't it obvious? His insane...do anything because, destruction for the sake of destruction attitude and the fact that I would blow heath ledger for doing such a damn good job on it...that is, if he were alive...NOT GAY.

I absolutely can't stand...well...it's hard to choose any boss from any of the kingdom hearts games. They all suck so much. The end.

Favorite: Kefka Palazzo (Final Fantasy VI). Whats there not to love about Kekfa. He's the most evil villain I've had the pleasure of witnessing. He's destroyed city and rearranged the surface of the world.

Most Hated: Sanctus (Devil May Cry 4). I hate religious groups. And when the religious group's leader is evil and scheming, I hate him all the more. Plus he's fricking annoying to fight to, hiding in that humongous statue right when your about to kick his butt. I was so glad when he finally got it.

My favorite villian is basically a template, and that's the Mad Scientist.

Frankenstein was one of the first, he represents the hubris of man trying to control nature, instead of respecting and coexisting with it.

The most hated villian was probably Emperor Nero of Rome.

He had a bad upbringing and took it out on the people. Burning Rome to the ground, then blaming the Christians for it to save his own pathetic skin.

Favorite:

Light Yagami (Death Note) I was rooting for him the whole time.

Hawkeye Mihawk (One Piece) He was only in it for a few panels, but he was so cool, I can't wait for him a zorro to fight again.

Deadpool (Marvel Comics) I'm not sure if he is a villain or not, but he is definitely not a hero. Either way he is awesome.

Hated:

Norman Osborn (Marvel Comics) The most sleazy villain I have ever read about, and he is in charge of the entire free world.

Bowser (Mario Games) Can't stand him. I loved the NES, SNES, N64 and Mario Galaxy games, and I can't wait for Galaxy 2 to come out, but what is the point of capturing the princess all the time, what is his deal. maybe if they gave a little background into his past it would help. I think Mario, who is such a great character deserves a "better class of villain."

hmm this is interesting, there are actually quite a few villains i like out there, but if i had to choose one.. i guess my favorite villain would have to be captain aizen from "bleach". his demeanor is rather cool and composed, but he isnt the typical angry/spiteful type of villain.. he's actually rather kind and respectful.. almost enough to make you think he wasnt a villain to begin with lol.

as far as most hated villain, hmmm i dont think i have a most hated one, but if i had to nominate someone, it would be ribbons almark from "kidou senshi gundam 00" he was probably the blandest villain ive seen in quite a while.. would have been much better with.. hell anyone! lol

"edit" just read the OP and i gotta say.. mitsuomi takayanagi was probably one of my favorite characters from tenjo tenge (aside from masataka takayanagi, bob makihara, and of course bunsichi tawara!). i kinda see him in the same light as i see lelouch from 'code geass' simply because he was willing to put down his own role model for the sake of the school, shin was goin nuts, and he was the only one who had the possibility of ending it. (i do kinda feel your pain, though im against incest.. aya natsume was rather impressive looking lol)
