Why you chose your name?

Well, I know the title is pretty self-explanatory, but I think I'll explain my reasoning a bit.

I've noticed that a lot of folks use some very exotic names for themselves on DATorrents and else where, and I keep wondering how they came about the name and why they use them. So, I create this thread and maybe we tell. Yes?

And so no one gets shy, I'll start first.

My name "Usimyoc" is actually Al'Bed (its a fictional language from Final Fantasy 10) for Ice Soul as translated through a tool one of my friends programmed back in collage. Up to that point I'd call myself Soul-OF-Ice or what not ('cause people say I don't portray my emotions well in the real world and that I'm "cold")

So I started using Usimyoc after Yahoo kicked by other tags using any combination for my other name. Since I've thrown in Titles including Master of Blades on a free MMO or IceSoul on one of my Yahoo ID's, and on Halo 3 I use the Spartan ID of U51 for my ID UsimyocBlade.

To be honest my Usimyoc identity has kinda become as much a part of me as my given name. On the internet I don't even give out my name anymore. (so don't ask) :P

Eto.. mine is self-explanatory I think xD
But the "105".... I used to like a serie 4 or 5 years ago called "zoey 101" (yeah I know -.-), and when I had to choose my name I thought it was "105".. when I realized what I have done it was too late XD

my dogs name was boscoe I got him as a kid way back in november of 1996, all my friends started calling my boscoe as a nickname. in early 1997 (i forgot exactly january/february) when I got my first computer it seemed natural that I would use my nickname as my screen name and it has stuck for the last 12 years (i can't believe it has been that long)

wow...that is rather impressive...I can't imagine having a monopoly on a name for that long

Tsorea is my favorite battle cry usually used in animes or videgames, specially by Link from The Legend of Zelda. It's not really spelled like that but it kinda sounds that way and I like it that way.
In other forums I've also used Tseia just to mix it up but I didn't like it as much, but I've used Tsorea on almost every forum I've been. Over at LRUS I was called Tsowy for a long time cause it kinda stuck in IRC

I wanted to have something different, as I was in another nick transition at that time. Now, this is the only place that I have this name as I went through another transition a few years back. Current nicks are ZTC, which I use for my chan and daIRC; and NekoArc, which I use for just about everything else (yes I'm a Melty Blood/Tsukihime fan lol)

yeah, I have been using boscoe for along time, however I'll mention that whenever it is taken, i add the letters tkd at the end of boscoe, the tkd stands for tae kwon do (practicing since 1992!)

Was playing Atelier Iris (rpg) at the time and one of the lead characters was Lita Blanchimont. Also, one of my characters in Guild Wars (mmorpg) was named such...
But since then it has been my alter ego in cyberspace^^

I wondered what your name meant, now that you mention it, it does sound just like Links battle cry. It is very distinctive, I can't believe I didn't pick up on this before. Awesome.
