leech restrictions

we need them in place and we need them now. many GOOD torrents arent being seeded at all by the leeches who stop by.

please fix the issue. i cant get anything i want

your telling me! i want to get somethings but nope...can't do that T_T i still dont know how to ban leechers -_-;

Me too. i can moderate the tracker, but I can't figure out if I am allowed to ban, and if I can, how to do it. If I'm allowed and/or can figure it out, trust me, anyone below 0.5 will be in trouble.

I actually have an idea... if there are any services that the board can offer to people who always seed (people who dl 10gb but upload 20gb) then there may be more seeders

and people who dl 10 but only ul 5... they get banned

Tracker banning is usually the most easy way to get rid of leechers who destroy the work that the seeders do.
I used to single ban IPs with my Azureus client, but it isn't as effective as a tracker ban since they could still connect to me from time to time >.>
I guess I was pretty fear though, since I was only banning those with a ratio under 0.2.

Well, we've made a start on the banning. We only seem to be hitting people with a really bad ratio atm though. Still waiting for the big voices in the sky to give us the goahead for a purge of all leechers with ratios less than 0.4

Was Hand maid one of the servers bannining? its been 6 days trying to get a full torrent. I, using Azurues 2.3.0 and had to reconnect at least several times. My share ratio in Azurues is 2.79 on that file. Kept getting bad data from some one and this program set up to kick bad data ip's I may be a leecher but i share respectfully. Totals using azurues for this month is down 39.4g Upload 54.3g could some one give us a server back thats not snubbing all the leechers because of one bad apple? please
