Laptop or Desk top?

Heres my newest poll,

Theirs many advantages and disadvantage between having a laptop and desktop, like laptop, advantage is you can move it around wireless and easy but unless you got a cooling pad they get rather hot. also theirs the price difference, speed, and harddrive.

my question is what would you rather have and why?

Desktop.

- More performance for your $
- Easier to upgrade
- Laptop batteries suck
- Gaming

id say desktop cause they seem to work better break less and are less likely to be stolen. don't want anyone taking my good hentai!

Laptop
-I'm not that much into computer gaming, so no problem there.
-Great for daily, "normal" use.
-You aren't stuck on one place.
-For some reason I find those much easier to use. This is just a feeling though.

I'm not an expert when it comes to computers, though my knowledge is better than that of an average users

If you got the option of Both, I will pick that
because both computers have different usage for me, So I need both

Laptop
- just work, and i can move around easily
- little mobile multimedia center, I can use it when I am actually bore
- School work, is perfect for laptop.
- avoid gaming due to easily overheat

Desktop
- games
- giant multimedia center
- I can set aside the overheat problem

I roll with a desktop. It hasn't steered me wrong yet.

I have a vista Vaio laptop, but I hate the living hell out of it. I avoid touching it. It's a needs must thing for me when it comes to that.

I personally would prefer to have a desktop since the fun is all in building it from scratch. I could build a gamer desktop PC for much less than a Dell XPS or other high-performance laptops (Alienware, etc.). Not only that, I can save some serious cash by reusing hardware in which the only things I would upgrade are the CPU, mobo, and video card. All I have to do is either shop at my favorite warehouse or get parts from Newegg.
