| I sorta like him, the thing is well I'm studying economics. The stuff he's planning to do and has done isn't as great as people make it out to be, but the thing is with the economy there is literally a book on how to fix economic crisis', the stimulus package is the last ditch attempt any government can do, if not well the next part is economic and governmental collapse. Oh dear lord I hope he does okay because there isn't anything else a government can possibly do after that, and if he fails thens theoretically the U.S'. unemployment can reach as high as 40%. |

| Mobile mod/wifi thief ![]() ![]() | I am absolutely dissatisfied that he was elected. Not only has he changed his positions on various things multiple times, but he also has broken promises like no earmarks in spending. He has also used fearmongering for passing that "stimilus" bill so quickly. He's also been quoted that the economy is at it's worst since the Great Depression. It isn't; if he knew his history, he would know that the levels are nearing what they were during the 80s.

| Spammer ![]() | I am very unhappy Obama won. I can't see him fixing anything, If the economy does get any better, it will have nothing to do with him or his cabinet. Hell the person he picked to run the IRS can't even pay his taxes right. That is not a good sign. But I guess we are stuck with him for the next 4 years, then hopefully he will be gone. |

| Spammer ![]() | Like I said in november him or McCain it is pretty much the same thing. He said yesterday, that he was going to pulll the army out of Iraq by 2010, which sounds like he is keeping his promise from the election campaign but then adds that he will be keeping 35-50 thousand troops there to "assist" the Iraqi governement! 35-50 thousand? that is not assistance, that is a freaking army! |

| Mobile mod/wifi thief ![]() ![]() | the thing is, that former President Bush already set a date for major troop withdraw, so Obama cannot be credited with that.

| Administrator ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | It's too early for me to decide. His waffling on promises not to fill his administration with lobbyists, and make people recuse themselves were there could be a conflict of interest has been disappointing. On the other hand releasing memos from the Bush administration relieving how dictatorial they saw presidential power was good. |

| Experienced ![]() | They say from Jan of 2001 we where a dictatorship in this country some of those menos where scared as long as Bush say so, you could have been pull out of your home and put in jail for the rest of your life. Bush never set a withdraw date, he can not be credit with that either it was the Iraq government that told us to get out by that time. All I got to say is it is to earlier to judge and flip flopping? So what? Tell me have any of you even flip flopped on an issue? |

| Beginner ![]() | I will hold my vote for now. But so far I have not seen anything that makes him that great. So far he has only spouted doom and gloom, blamed others for the problems, Picked people to run offices that can't do the job, Pushed a Stim. Bill through that puts my great grand children in debit. Suggest a tax on fuel that will drive up the cost of heating/cooling your home & getting to work. Wants to remove tax breaks for corp's. (Just who do you think is going to pay for that? The Corp? I don't think so!) The DOW is tanking, My 401k is only worth 1/3 what it was 12 months ago. Oh and I was layed off right after he took office. So am I better off than a year or two ago? NO. BTW if anyone cares to know, the Congress & House of Rep has been under Democratic control for 2 yrs and what did they do to stop this mess? They were glad the country was going to hell. That way they can get their guy in office! Most Demo's perfer that you think it was only Bush/Repubicans that did nothing. Remember that Goverment and Politics are always self serving and only look after themselfs. To quote from Hunt for Red October. "Jack, I'm a politisan, If I'm not kissing babys I'm stealing thier candy!" Last edited by Opus; 03-06-2009 at 06:49 AM. |
