Posts: 16 | Any help, please? Hey all, I haven't watched anime in a long time, which is semi-depressing for me, so I was wondering if anyone knew of a good pick-me-up anime that would go a long ways to get me back in the scene of watching anime. Post Script: I do not mind having to find a few series - this computer has quite a bit of free room. ![]() |

Bleach- for all your soul reaping and action needs. with 150+ episodes, so if you wanted something that is long running. that is a start. Deathnote- Great storyline and some of the best acting in anime around. Watching the Japanese or English dub. You can't really go wrong either way. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni- The storyline and show is very interesting, though the storyline might take a minute to pick up. And it gets pretty violent, but overall very good. Lucky Star- Well that one is just cute, enough said on their part. And of course watch Trigun or Cowboy Bebop if you haven't yet. Those two are great. Hope that helps a little. -Cyal8erloser *Denote this would go under the anime discussion area. ![]() |

Posts: 16 | cyal8erloser: Thanks for the recommendations, and as Trigun and Cowboy Bebop were the animes that got me started watching anime, I have them as my top 2, currently. I've read the manga for Deathnote (personally, I believe that the manga's better, since I like supporting the original artist's vision, and they changed a few things in the anime. =P) and Lucky Star (definitely cute). I'm somewhat up-to-date with Bleach - last episode I watched was 152, I believe, and then I read the manga for a complete catchup. I'm pretty sure I'm behind, now, so I'll figure out how to catch up with that (thanks for reminding me). And I haven't heard of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, so I'll definitely be checking it out. Thanks, again. ^.^ |

| Identifier! ![]() | Thumbs up to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. The animation in the first season is a bit week, but it's a great series. As for a good picker-upper, I'd recommend Minami-ke. One of the few slice of life animes that I can go back to and rewatch. It's quite cute and funny. |
