Intercourse question

I had a little thought running through my mind, so I thought I'd ask everyone on Datorrents thier opinions and thoughts on the matter.

What I wished to ask was, whether you interpret sex as just an act for pleasure, something to convey love to another person, or maybe something for lust. And so on along those lines. Though allow me to make it clear. I in NO WAY want to hear any sex stories that you may or may not have, I absolutely DO NOT need to hear about that and I'm sure everyone will thank you for it if you leave that out.

From my perspective, I would like to think sex(Intercourse) can have more than one meaning at diffrent times. Whether it just be for pure enjoyment and the fun of it, or more of an expression of love should anyone wish to go in that direction.
To be honest I never saw sex as a serious act, or one that would be a make or break moment in your life. As long as you are careful with partmers, or at least take precautions. Enjoy Intercourse to your hearts content, and however you like it within legal boundaries of course. Sex can be pleasurable and meaningful in my eyes and I prefer to keep it that way. In fact, I'm not a virgin and I'm 15. I'll not argue whether I'm lieing or not to sound cool. You'll either have to believe me, or just say I'm a liar and call it a day.

I suppose, if it came down to it for me. Sex is a pleasure and expression of love depending on how things unfold. Which it can be either or, and both at the same time. That is just my point of view though.
I'd be very interested in hearing everyone elses take on this.

I agree. It can be for more than one reason. At first it was just for the pleasure. Then when I was engaged, it became pleasure and expression of the love I felt. It can always be for a combo of reasons. I know someone who would have sex with anyone he would meet. He'd say as long as it breaths, I'll do it. I believe it too. lol neways. I personally prefer the reasons I had sex.

i personally believe that it really does depend on the person more than anything else. the more emotional the person, the more likely they are gonna to tie love to sex. im not a very emotional person, so i generally do not consider sex as an act of love, just an act of pleasure (though you can generally tell when someone is putting more "love" into it). i personally show my affection during everyday activities, or noticing the little things n such.. but to each his own eh? lol (on a side note, that guy you know runninsilent, speaks words of a hero.. heed them well! lol)

I have been sexually active for some time now and this it's a very complex subject,
because it can be an expression of so many different emotions:
Love, Lust, Fear, Hate, Pride, Joy

Just to name a few.
Why (and when) a person starts having sex is as diverse as the people themselves.

I don't know....Anyway, I've always thought of sex scientifically...Two people are joined by a body part! Isn't that amazing?! I don't understand how people can downplay how incredible sex is and how more complex it is than pleasure. I mean, we all can jack off and get intense pleasure but it's different when you have sex with another human being. Yeah, with people you can get diseases but the most private part of their body is joined to you...I think I may be thinking to deep into this...And not making any sense...Ah well.

Oi! Deceptive! I thought you were talking about true intercourse! (I.E. just conversation) Sex, for all I know, is still referred to as 'Sexual Intercourse' and while 'Intercourse' is widely viewed to be tied to sex, it is, technically, tied to conversation, or any activity dealing socially, truthfully. Now that I'm done with that, time to my actual response.

Now, me, I'm emotional, and I like to fool myself that sex is an act of love, and all, but, truthfully, all it is - is for sexual reproduction. People usually seem wanton to attach pleasure to emotion, and sex, definitely a pinnacle of pleasure, seems the one act tied to multiple emotions. Since, I know I'm getting confusing, but you could for all intents and purposes attach murder to love because you, the theoretical murderer, were releasing them to a greater state of existance. Or it could be seen as a passive act - you just wanted to do it, or an act of hatred - taking their life away from this plane of reality. Now, if you put that onto sex, sex would just be a method of showing whichever emotion you want - anywhere from trying to help your partner reach the highest pinnacle of pleasure, or turn their pleasure into the deepest depths of pain. It all depends on how it's initiated. And this should show you how twisted I am.

I agree with what you'd said beforehand, I think it can mean lots of different things i.e. expression of love, for fun or just because you happen to be in the mood for it and I don't believe there's anything wrong with having sex for any of those reasons.

But I do think sex is at it's most beautiful when it's actually an expression of love.

I agre with Miss Neko, about sex being at its most beautiful as an expression of love,
but it is also true that it is at its most ugly when it is used as an expresson of hate.

Hm, to be honest I can't properly aprove of the word love for all the good the word does now a days. *Relatively none it all in most cases*

I'm seeing that sex, does have a multitude of emotions and uses to it, dependant on the person and what they hope or want to achieve.
Heh, Baseit not so twisted, your thoughts cross very close into the area where mine does. Though, I'm more inclined to believe most people would enjoy sex as pleasure, and to an end say pleasure from their partners is an expression of love(Though, by technicality that could be viewed as being selfish for some people, and caring for themselves. As if to say an orgasm is what they want, and not a form of showing love.). Or something relative to that, I'll come up with a more clear way to say that.

Huh. Glad I'm not too twisted, then. But yea...... Sex is the one thing I do believe is most tied up with all emotions. It can express anything from grief, loneliness, and desperation, to love, friendship(as awkward as that may seem), and compassion(durr). Or it's just the plain reason of wanting to just have pleasure. So. Yea. To each their own. ^.^
