Demonoid again....?

Seems another torrent site has bitten the big one...

Just try going to Demonoid.com and it is no longer there.... no "we will be back asap" message like last time.....

Anyone know any more?

The apparently CRIA threatened their hosting company and got the site pulled.

Yeah, I just tried going on Demonoid this morning and I was a bit upset. Well, Mininova and Isohunt are still up. At first they were warned and they had only blocked Canadian traffic. Now I guess the "RIAA of Canada" still wants to do something else.

Wow, quebectorrent is asking for $1500 of donations to help fight? Its a site less than a year old, so I can see someone doing a runner with that cash....

Yeah this'll have a big impact on torrent availability. Sure mininova and BTjunkie are still up but a lot (a lot) of the stuff they had came from Demonoid. The crap-to-good ratio will probably be pretty horrible for a while.

Pirate bay and isohunt should still be good sources though.

There was an interview with one of the Demonoid staff. The guys said there weren't any official collection efforts and advised people to save their money.

*wishes he could find it again.

If nothing more at least i could hope that they work for that money a little... but i guess it was an impossible dream. Life is unfair. -_-

And again as always the little pc users end up whit smaller possibilities in the future. (as usually)
