Posts: 1,707 | My FF collection is so extensive that I can't remember them all and I have not gotten Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales yet. And I always forget Tactics Advance. And all the old Final Fantasy games I have I keep in storage so I can't really go and look them up.

| Special Member ![]() ![]() | Nice! Another Final Fantasy collector! Chocobo Tales is not really a big deal for Final Fantasy fans if they missed it. I actually find it as a party game. Though it may look very childish, a collection is a collection. I finished the game last week and I don't know how to grade the game. lol. I guess it's a very good game when you are waiting for the bus or train and is very very bored. But game reviews gave it an average of 8.0/10. |

| Stressball Mod(TM) ![]() ![]() | Well for me Final Fantasy 4 started it all for my appreciation of the series. Its an instant classic. FF 6 had the biggest cast of playable characters; about 14I believe. All characters except for Gogo and Umaro had a well developed plot surrounding their past. |

| Special Member ![]() ![]() | I am actually much more excited in Final Fantasy Versus XIII... I just like it when the protagonist is a male even if a lot of people say that Nomura-san's artwork for male protagonists looks like a lady. I guess it's just because I am male and I like to take on a role of a male(Another reason why Final Fantasy X-2 did not sell much for me)... A Final Fantasy VII Remake is fine; but I prefer a true ending for the universe. SPOILER: (highlight below) At the end of Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII Genesis Rhapsodos is still alive... |

Since you said you are particularly knowledgable of PS2 RPG's, ssam, would you by chance recommend looking at Atelier Iris? I know it's pretty old, but I am still thinking of checking it out. Here's my list of what I personally think are the ten best RPG's ever: Lunar: Silver Star Story Lunar: Eternal Blue Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy IX Chrono Trigger Star Ocean: The Second Story Lufia and the Fortress of Doom Final Fantasy Tactics Final Fantasy VI Chrono Cross | |

| Stressball Mod(TM) ![]() ![]() | Alright Atelier Iris, the first one that came out for the PS2 well...I didn't like it. The game is sort of like an oldschool FF game. It has rather cute and good 2D graphics, quite humorous and has dual audio tracks, allowing you to get the authentic Japanese experience. For a game that still uses the turn-based battle system, it brings nothing new to the table. I can't recommend an RPG like that for you but if you like the other elements of the game, then go for it. More Aterlier Iris games are coming to the PS2 but I'm not holding my breath that they'll be worthy of my attention. Any other rpg you'd like to ask about? |

| Servant of Faerie Queen! ![]() ![]() | Actually, yes. I wasn't going to mention it at first, because it seems that I am about the only one on the planet whom has heard of it; another PS2 RPG named something like Ark of Napishtim-something-or-other. I just happened across it in a Best Buy store about a year ago, but haven't seen or heard of it anywhere else since, but I was curious just by looking at the cover. (Then again, any RPG with two reallly cute anime-style elf girls on the front of the case would grab my attention. ^_^) If you happen to know which game I am speaking of, would you be able to tell me more about it?

| Stressball Mod(TM) ![]() ![]() | Oh that would be one of the Y's games. I had that game at one point. Its a remake of the PC version. It sort of on the lines of Zelda but with rpg elements. It was good time waster fo about 20 hours or so. This game is a remake but it was fun while it lasted. Not enough in terms of content but check it out anyway. How do you like rpg's that make you use your head? |
