| Beginner ![]() | Yeah, some of the ingame videos from the Japanese version of Vol 2 show a system for modifing the Steambike. So that probably means there will be Steambike races in this one, just like how they introduced Grunty racing in Vol 2 of the first series. I hated the Grunty racing. |

| Stressball Mod(TM) ![]() ![]() | Too be honest, I find the .hack games to be for .hack fans. While the story and cutscenes are excellent in everyway, the rpg element is a bit shallow. When I had all four of the .hack games for the PS2, I got extremely tired of playing the game when I made it through half of the 3rd volume of the game. It was too repetitive. It would've been better if the developers made .hack into one big 80 plus hour game than into four separate volumes. It was a cheap and underhanded marketing ploy to make gamers pay for 4 games that essentially were the same game in itself. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who had this gripe with the developers. At least the Xenosaga games from Monolith Soft were different each time a new episode was made for the PS2. |

| No Life ![]() | Admittedly the first four DID get boring after a while. But still, it's worth giving GU a try. They want more side-quests? We got some more side-quests. We want more customization? We got more customization. Want want a relationship- Oshi. Vol3 spoilz.

| No Life ![]() | I've just finished GU Vol2 actually. Like the first .Hack games. The story goes though 3 volumes. However GU is a major step-up from the first games. If you want the full effect, try watching .Hack//ROOTS first. Not exactly needed, but it's recommenced before you play GU.

| Stressball Mod(TM) ![]() ![]() | Well I'm still weary of buying it. I've been left with the .hack syndrome where I'm being cautious towards these games. I buy my RPGs from the judgement of Gamespot's reviews. I've found that they think exactly as I do when it comes to RPGs. Plus they have high standards for RPG's so I can't wrong with their reviews, Last edited by ssam : 05-16-2007 at 12:38 AM. |
