Oh, Eroge, the BEST PART....

was when we upgraded to a 233 mhz computer....and we installed Mechwarrior1 on it. And back then games ran off the speed of the processor rather than time things to an actual clock...SOOOO...the game ran 10 times faster than it should...and I couldn't play it anymore. LOL...it was funny sh*t... I still remember that HAHAHAHAHA!

I played the Sonic series on my Game Gear (still have that too!), along with Shinobi, Mickey Mouse and Global Gladiators....

Game Boy was my first system, with Link's Awakening packed in, along with that, my other favorite is Tetris. The C64 was my second gaming system, so I know how you feel, Kira. On that, I played Turmoil, Donkey Kong, Pacman, and a number of other games. Following that was the Atari 2600... Among the 80 or so games that I have for it include the Star Wars series, Breakout, Galaxian, Donkey Kong, and Frogger.
Snes: A Link to the Past, Super Mario World 1 & 2, Super Castlevania 4. Genesis: Bloodlines, Sonic 1-3 & Kunckles.
Game Gear: Sonic Chaos
NES: Metal Gear, Tetris (Tengen version), The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros 1 & 3, Rampage
PC: Doom 2, Unreal Tournament 99, Duke Nukem 1,2, and 3D, Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries, Jedi Knight 1, Dark Forces, Wolfenstein 3D, Sim City 1

holy crumb. I don't think about the goodies from the past often (forgot about the hours on Alex Kidd and Miracle Zone on master system as well as those neat 3d games if you had the glasses and some Tylenol).

I started way back on C64 and atari (atari first). I don't remember names (was young) but I remember this one side scrolling shooter that would sometimes scroll up/down as well as this game with a bug/insect like thing and a safe zone mid screen (I think yar's revenge?)

On the old nes the first zelda (still rather young) and had some good times with friends on mario 3 a bit later.

(asterisks (*) around something hold very special place)

My most favs though mostly came later.
Nes: Megaman series(collected all nes, snes titles and some others then nephew stole), Particular note to Megaman 2 (first one I played). Turtles and *blaster master* also quite memorable.
Master System: Miracle Warrior, *Phantasy Star*, *Golvelius*
Genesis: Herzog zwie, sonic 2, shining force, sword of vermillion, toe jam and earl 1, *Phantasy Star 2*, 3, and *4*
Sega CD: sonic CD, **Lunar** (the newer psx version was good too but didn't quite grab me in the same way), echo the dolphin (music!)
SNES: Chrono Trigger, Zelda, Actraiser, Final Fantasy II (us)

I remember a few that others posted here but these were most memorable to me. Music was/is always a top thing for me and the genesis games tended to have such good music compared to SNES titles.

Also of favorable memory those bygone days on PCs (286 first). a little joke app I wrote while teaching myself basic on 286 (a dumb text thing inspired by sbatso, was very funny at the time for myself and friends), doom multiplayer (nightmare to setup then), duke nukem 3d (after we got a few computers in the house on coax lan, that was fun), wing commander 1, *star control 2*, *freespace 1&2*, unreal tournament and starcraft (multiplayer coop on in house lan with some friends, some family, and every spare computer we had that could for years).

Nothing quite brought us all together like the prospect of blowing some bots to pieces (original UT bots are still highly rated in my opinion).

These days its all about PoP series (that series most made me feel those feelings of old that the good old games gave me).

oh yeah, TJE was the sh*t

I know Doom! Man, everbody would be like..."you can play w/ more than one person!?" That sh*t was hardcore when you got it to work too!

zOMG freespace...I STILL play that game...Descent got us started and just continued the madness...man they need to bring that series back Freespace 3 anybody?

UT believe it or not I almost NEVER got to play it online...but I had a sh*t-fun time blowin' up bots over and over and over

Starcraft...the proof that if you build an RTS right...people will come Ray...people will come
