What's with Sony?

PS3 Launch Shipments Slashed by 75%
Blu-Ray production issues force massive reduction of launch unit numbers in both US and Japan.

PS3 Delayed in Europe
PAL gamers won't get their hands on Sony's next-gen monster until March 2007.

I'm thinking that this will seriously hurt Sony's sales with the PS3

Got WII?

Got PC?
It doesn't affect me very much because I don't use consoles, but it does seem a shame, they are just giving Xbrick 360 the chance to get 'settled in' on the market, as well as dissapointing a huge fanbase. It is actually a big problem though because I am hoping for blu-ray to overtake DVDs as soon as possible so I can back things easier, and this has got to hurt blu-ray sales.

As a part of the console gaming community. I wouldn't even fret about Sony stating that the launch will be delayed, this hardware of PS3 is not out until who knows when, this game will be due next year. I don't care about them giving the delay.

What I want is they make sure that there are no bugs in that bankrupter system on it's release. Not that I am getting it on the first launch but hell, for a 600 bucks and you get a glitchy unit! what a waste. I think it may be good for them to delay the launch further and lower the price. Even if they do release the PlayStation 3 this Novemeber, I wouldn't be getting one till February or March.
