Final Fantasy VII Saga

ok, now that's the only game left for the compilation is Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, this would mean that the story ends at Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. Now Crisis Core is a prequel so, it's not a continuation of DoC. However, if you saw the ending of DoC, do you still want Square-Enix to continue the FFVII saga?

I personally would like to continue the saga. Instead of a remake for the PS3, I'd rather have yet another sequel. And I want it an rpg this time, not a shooting game like DoC.

I read that someone said Before Crisis and Crisis Core is the same game. That is not true.

Before Crisis is the story about after Shin-Ra and the Wutai Tribe war. The game has 25 episodes and one extra episode about Tseng of the Turks, which is set before the game Before Crisis itself.

Crisis Core is focused mainly on Zack, or rather the Buster Sword. It will show how Zack came into possession of the weapon. Nothing much is known for this game yet.

Before Crisis and Crisis Core are two different games. You're not much of a fan of the series if you don't know this.

havent played DOC but i would like them to continue the saga with "some"(not all) different characters i mean does not tifa get old or something? when she gets old those boobs gonna break her back, anyway some new blood would be good like the 2 new guys on movie the color guy and the red haired guy.

LOL...Crisis Core and Before Crisis is the same story line...Beside the trailer of crisis core is from the movie FF VII last order If you dident know... Beside the before crisis is about the turks at that time and Crisis Core is about Zack...I know's that all readdy... the other post you removed, I did just show you how far FF VII has gone...so wy did you removed it?

It was stated in the first post that I have to recreate the whole thread due to a time glitch.

The trailer of Crisis Core is based from Last Order cause it featured Zack, plus there is no official trailer for Crisis Core cause it's still under development. I saw that trailer a day after E3. It was also stated by Tetsuya Nomura, designer of FFVII, that Crisis Core will probably cover up to the Nibelheim events. Hence, the reason for using the Last Order as the trailer.

Have you played the Before Crisis? I never did but my friend from Japan did and told everything about the game. Yes, it's about the Turks, however, Crisis Core is about the Zack. And Zack is not of the Turks, he's a 1st class SOLDIER.

Crisis Core and Before Crisis won't share the same storyline. They might share the same time frame but they are completely different games. It will pointless for Square-Enix to port games. The only port that they did was the remake of old Final Fantasy games to the PlayStation platform. Plus Before Crisis requires monthly subscription and is being planned to be released in the US soon, what's the point of making it to the PSP. And how will Square-Enix charge subscription for PSP games?

Plus why will the games "Advent Children", "Before Crisis", "Crisis Core", & "Dirge of Cerberus" be called Compilation of Final Fantasy VII if the two of them will be the same game.

WOW...Final Fantasy VII advent children is a movie not a game. I know that Zack is a 1st class soldiers, and the trailer showed that it was for psp so I was asume it were supose to selling in psp games. And I know that Before Crisis and Crisis Core chare the same timeline becose on the fact that the movie last order basicly was a short 22 trailer movie for selling this new games for mobilphone and so on....

my bad, what i wanted to say was, how can it be a compilation if two of them will be having the same storyline or plot.(It's pretty obvious what I mean up there, only an FF hater will take it as it is)

also, Last Order is not a movie, it's an OVA.

Actually if you read an interview with Nomura(I forgot which company did the interview), asking about the insites of him regarding the Last Order, it's more like a bonus. Yeah you can put it a preview for upcoming games, but it was not the intention of the developers. Nomura said that he wanted to put more elaboration for the Nibelheim events. And he hoped that through this OVA, more people will go back and play FFVII once again.

I did as well, however, I got a US version of the CD and my PlayStation system's beat up, Plus my PlayStation 2 is a japanese version so I had to use an emulator to play it once more. I also got an Internation Version of FFVII but for some reason it doesn't boot up with my PS2.(Could be that my PS2 is one of the earliest versions)

I buyed the game 1994 when It first came out to ps1...the europe version... And I must say it works perfectly on my ps2....But I'm not shore if it works on ps3 so I hoping for a remake...

No confirmation on the remake but that will depend if the fans can move the developers to do one. But most likely i feel that if ever Square-Enix will make a remake of FFVII for the PlayStation 3, i think that they will only change CGI to the ones similar from Advent Children and improve the renderings. I don't think the same crew will be there to make a better replica of the original cause it's already proven in all kinds of series that nothing beats the original.
