FABULA NOVA CRYSTALLIS Project a.k.a Final Fantasy XIII

This is the project name for Final Fantasy XIII. Currently, Square-Enix will be releasing 2 titles for PS3, and 1 for Mobile Phones.

The two titles for PS3 will be
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Final Fantasy Versus XIII

And for the Mobile Phones
- Final Fantasy Agito XIII

A little fact: this game uses Latin words.

FABULA NOVA CRYSTALLIS = the new tale of the crystal

Versus = change of direction

Agito = moving violently

This will be the true next gen game for PS3.

General information:
• XIII debuted in a 1:08 clip at E3. A 27 second clip featuring the same information was also released.

• Final Fantasy XIII will be released on the PS3.

• Final Fantasy XIII features a female heroine.

• The story takes place in a highly technological world.

• Although previously FFVII and FFVIII both had futuristic worldviews, FFXIII will feature the most futuristic worldview in the series. It is presented more like science-fiction than fantasy.

• Final Fantasy XIII runs on the "White Engine".

• The heroine's weapon is a gun that turns into a blade.It is not a FFVIII gunblade, it is a new weapon.

• The storyline will be "those who resist the world".

• The FFXIII series' concept is based on Crystals that lead the world towards the future. Crystals take the form of real world objects that are used for every day conveniences.

• The battle system is a kind of inverted ATB. Your ATB gauge fills up and commands will take away ATB points, but only bit by bit. Naturally, some commands will take more ATB points than others.

• In the upper right-hand corner of the battle screen, a circle-shaped gauge is visible. Once the number inside this circle and other conditions have been met, the protagonist can enter a so-called Overclock status. This status has a slow-motion effect, effectively slowing down everyone but the protagonist. However, making use of this ability apparently brings some risk with it. The female protagonist's weapon can be used as a gun or a sword. Depending on opponent and situation, it will be possible to switch between those two functions.

• The heroine character's [image in media section] name is "Lightning", although it could be debated that it's "Chara".

• Final Fantasy XIII was originally developed for the PS2 but was shifted towards the PS3.

• XIII, Agito, Versus, and any future XIII compilation developments will not have anything in common except a common mythos as said earlier. This also means no correlation between Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, as Disney owns part of Kingdom Hearts.

• Vehicles will be in XIII, which may use the motion-detection functions of the PS3's controller.

• The yellow stripes on the girl's arms indicates rank and social status.

• Haeresis XIII was trademarked on May 1st, but it has yet to be announced what genre and platform it will be on.

• The main FFXIII game may have some Online elements, although Online play won't be the main part of the title.

• The female in the trailer will play as part of a team.

• Each episode will have different and independent characters, the stories also takes place in different times in history.
