Gundam Seed Never Ending Tommorow [PS2]

This is the game I've been playing for the last week...So I decided to write a review....

The game opens with a long CGI Sequence from the last parts of the series,mainly the final battle between Kira/Klueze and the battle between Athrun and Kira when he killed Nicole and the Blitz Gundam.

Layout: The controls are hard to understand at first but once you get the hang of it.....you get the idea....

When I watched the OAV for Gundam Seed Astray Red/Blue Frames earlier today I was surprised to find that I can Play as the same pilots in that OAV! Which was really great! You get to unlock several characters through completing missions or buying certain items at the Item Shop using Seed Points gained through the missions....Items like a Coffee Cup [Unlocks Andrew Bartfield] Pink Haro[Unlocks Who Else? Lacus Clyne!] Pendant [Unlocks Cagali] EF Hat [Unlocks Badgriel] Sheet Music [Nicol in Blitz] Fan [Dearka in Buster]
You can also buy MS units,like Strike Dagger and BACUE and M1 Astray these are for use in the Vs or Survival modes as I understand it...

I have played through the Kira Yamato Story line and it was great [Except for the time I had to kill Aisha and Andrew in the Lagowe]
The Game has cutscenes with narration from the series itself so it's like watching an Episode it follows through 15 Phases that are named after several episodes....

My favorite was killing Nicol with the Sword Strike and having to battle Athrun to the Death...or so they thought then coming back with the Freedom to kick some serious ZAFT butt along with the Psycho Trio [Whom I kicked their insane butts half the time withe Beam Sabers]

Music: It's ok,the shop music has a catchy tune [soft like music] I was expecting to hear atleast Invoke,Realize,or Any of the Gundam Seed Themes....I heard the BGM is the same as in Zeonic Front and Encounters in Space....it has a Zeonic Front feel to it with the controls but a Encounters In Space look to the control layout on the screen....with most controls automated.....

Note About the Item Shop Various Characters are running the shop I've found Haro running the shop and makes me laugh everytime he talks...

I play this game everyday just to unlock everything.....

My Rating: 9 [Mainly because it should have some of the original Gundam Seed Music in it]

At the risk of incuring the wrath of the gundam fans here and thus solidifying a death sentence... I honestly think that the last Great Gundam (Excluding the original, nothing can beat that), was Gundam Wing. The new ones suffer from DBZ syndrome (Repeatitive plot) with a unhealthy dose of Teenage Angst.

I honestly tried watching the gundams that came after Wing, but they just didn't do it for me. Gundam Seed lasted all of 10 minutes before I left the screening room at the Convention I was at (Was watching fan subs back when it was still airing in japan)

as for the video games, they're pretty good. they need to work on the controls a bit before they rival anything compared to mech assult. But as with all mecha games, they all turn out to be Circle Strafe-fests in the end, thus ruining any re-playabilty after beating the game (Excluding multiplayer).

hmmm i'd give Gundam X, Gundam Wing and G Gundam a tie score. When I started to watch Gundam Seed, they seem to repeat the Original Gundam and make more modernize.

The only Gundam games that I played are Gundam : Federation Vs. Zeon, Gundam Vs. Z Gundam. Yeah those game rocks. I wanted to play them in the arcades before but arcades are expensive so Playstation is my alternative.

The Reason I like the game is that it includes allot of sidestories from the CE Universe.....including the Red/Blue Astray Frame Storyline in the mission modes.....

Not to mention getting to play as Mwu and Kruzet well that's good....Now it would have been nicer if they included more characters from the earlier series....as well as the Gundams from the UC Timeline.....I for one wouldn't mind having Haman Karn in the game.....I don't think she's been in any Gundam games except for the Japanese games......

And they do need to translate the Gundam Seed Destiny Game into English because it'd go great with this game...and maybe take out the boring Zeonic Front/Encounters in space Music at least Federation Vs Zeon had some of the Original Series Music...so did Journey to Jaburo.....

As for series that are liked it's your opinion as long as you don't insult the universe itself....that would warrent a death sentance.....

I never played the US releases. I only played the Japanese versions and the Japanese version rocks.

Gundam Vs. Z Gundam is cool because there's lots of Mobile Suits available for that game.

I suggest you play JP versions. Their voices sound better.

so is this gundam seed game a rts or is it like journey to jabaro?
