| Spammer | Ever since I've gotten into listening to VG music, I started to encode the stuff to mp3s for my own enjoyment. After a time, I've decided to share that with the people on DAT's tracker. My account shows just about everything that I've upped (click here to see), and I have plenty more to work on. With time constraints lately, there hasn't been a new release in a while. Since I'm doing this all myself, it's pretty slow progress. I am looking for people to help out with the following jobs Ripper/Timer 1 For this, I'm looking for at least 2 people. One who has little-to-no knowledge of game sound ripping, who is willing to learn how to rip music from Genesis/NES/SNES games. The other would have to have a decent to through knowledge of ripping music from the aformentioned systems, along with the following: PSF/PSF2 ripping for Playstation/PS2, music file hacking to fix broken files, USF ripping for N64 games, GSF for the GBA, Gameboy music ripping, and possibly ripping for the Saturn and Dreamcast. Either way, the person in question would also have to time tracks for the Genesis, Gameboy, and any direct to .wav logs with either a straight repeat, or and extra 5-10 seconds for a fadeout added in later Timer 2/Tagger This job would be for timing, adding fadeouts, and adding in full tags to various formats including SNES spcs, PSF/PSF2 for the psx/psx, USF for the N64, ect. Also included would be converting NSF archives to NSFe and timing and tagging from there. Quality Checker 1(QC1)/Wav Editor/Encoder This entails that the timing job is done correctly, encode gym files to wave files, and add fadeout to any wavs that need it. After that the files need to be encoded to MP3s using either standard encoding settings, or enhanced quality with an audio processor. Note - winamp sometimes acts funny when wavs are edited, usually encodes them to play at 10x speed. In that case, the edited wavs would have to be converted to high quality WMAs then reconverted to MP3s. (there's very little sound difference when this is done) MP3 Tagger/Quality Checker 2 The final steps needed in putting out these files: Besides giving the files MP3 tags, the filenames usually have to be edited so it doesn't show the previous extention. (sound easy, but it's tedious) If anyone is interested or has any questions, one can post in this thread, contact me through MSN/YIM (just state who you are and what you are interested in) (or) IRC - irc.deltaanime.net/#datorrents-chat (usually a nick with Dragon in it) irc.initialized.org/#infini (same) just nick alert me from there and we can talk 'Till I get a site running and some interest in this, I'll be mostly running this off of IRC, so meh... to any other mods, if deemed necessary, I won't mind if this is unpinned heh, wasn't too sure where this was to be put, thanks for moving it ^_^;
