Okay folks. Here it is in a nutshell...

Since the inception of the NO sexyfur policy here at datorrents. We have had to repeatedly delete offending posts, images, and in general complete ignorance of the rules. This ends now.

As of this week, we are PLANNING to remove the furry section, unless you, the users, can put up a VALID ARGUEMENT to otherwise. Opinions, need/greed (this is the only site i go to for my furries), will be disregarded completely. I want feedback on what YOU guys are willing to do, and such. I had assurances from you guys that it will not happen anymore, yet 2 of the accounts i removed, are LONGSTANDING gallery and forum contributors...

That does not bode well. We have a regular staff person assigned to JUST the furry section. I will not hire another dedicated person just for FURRIES. If you want to help the gallery, you help the community, not just furries...

While we have had a large number of people apply for gallery staff, it seems that its merely to save the furry section ... Again to me, born of desperation.

I would like feedback as to why the furry section should be spared the axe. Here are the Pro's and Con's as I see them.

Pro's : Of course, alot of fans come, post, and contribute. As well as spark some rather lively discussions. We even have one or two very talented artists that contribute explicitly to the Furry Section.

Con's : To date, has resulted in numerous legal issues. To date, is the only section of the gallery with ONE person assigned strictly to it. Repeated rule violations resulting in 40-50 accounts and such being deleted/banned and numerous IP's being banned as well. Failure to follow simple rules in the gallery discussion section (yes, there are RULES posted in there for the gallery.)

As many can see from this point, there are quite a few Cons to it, and they FAR outweigh the Pro's to continuing to house furry images here. We would very much like to hear YOUR outlook on this!~

furry section people need to learn the rules b4 uploading pics to it and anyone who dont care to read rules and post pics from places that arent allowed should be removed from here

Seems fair, well it was fun whilst it lasted. Rather it be the furry selection than the whole forum :-(

Very fair indeed, IMO if things don't change we'll have to delete the furry section but of course on the same token watch out for angry users who may post them in other sections of the board.

I just wish people read rules more often so none of these issues would occur =)

I'm getting ashamed of the people that use the furry section gallery (not the users that DO obey the rules) but still the people that don't follow them or ignore them for some reason.

I have become moderator for the purpose of ridding the section of sexyfur pictures, but I'm overpowered by stupidity as it keeps happing so often that the other mod's have to help out. And they just had it and it makes me angry that it has to go like this.

I have met a lot of people that call them self furs, but not of them are as ignorant as the people that keep breaking this simple rule: NO SEXYFUR.

I am a fur, and I like furry. But this has to stop, this site is not going to get in trouble because some ***** keep doing this.

Summery: Stop posting sexyfur to the furry section will live. If one more picture reaches that gallery, it's over.
Over as in, deleted, return date: NEVER.

I know I don't contribute to the site, but is there any way to make the furry section members only? That way, there would be a tighter way to control what goes in there. Only people who have been approved can post there, but everyone can enjoy maybe?

But how do you know who should be approved? Cause some will probably say, "I won't post SexyFur", but will post it, either out of sheer stupidity or ignoring the rules.

If it is kept could there be like a 10 post per day limit per persons for that section? At least it would help the mod with being able to keep up more.

Not an option. Some people post very nice series of pictures. the problem lies with users only even contributing 1 sexy fur picture. You get one warning and a ban. And still we have this problem, people that keep posting this stuff.

I just find it sad, very very sad that we have to go this far to keep these **** from posting sexyfur to this site.

i don't know what to do but people really enjoy furry. we have to figure out a way to keep it on. i didn't like it at first but now i do. so lets try our best to figure out ways to keep it on.
