I don´t really care if they keep furry or not, not my taste as long as this site has its loli hehe when many others don´t, but keep the furry up for those who want it if its enough of them.

Well option 1, requires turning moderation on for the whole gallery. Meaning all uploaded images will have to be approved (alot of work for our very few staff.)
option 2, quite the same scenario... it will require tuning permissions of course, not a problem, but then any user wanting permission to post, needs an admin to move them to said group. Which would end up being well over 100 users currently, not to mention new forum accounts too...

Both end up in large amounts of work well past current staff capabilities, and again, all of these "concessions" for a group that has almost gotten dat shut down on more than one occasion ...

We are still looking at other options, so stay tuned.

I love furries
& there great,but if ppl keep breakin' the rules thing need to change.
The pictures going through a moterator is a good idea,but it can be time consumin'

What I see here that their is not really an unity... Community thing here. I hear people that are either in the middle, I don't like them much or I do, but I don't care.

Get those **** pictures of the site so they don't screw up the rest.

What I was wondering... Can the furry section (the users) be a bit more close with each other (give each others warnings for certain content> Bad pictures, SF etc.) And can the whole forum (offcourse including the furry section fans) Be a bit more like a community as a whole.
Get to know each other. I'm not a hippy, but in my opinion their is to much misunderstanding.
First... No furry screws animals for the furry fans, this site is more then only a dumping ground for furry pictures. This is a forum and torrent site also, go out their. Read threads, meet other users.

That's all I have to say for now.. I'm sleepy and I will try to keep on regularly, but I have a job now... and my daily free time has reduced a good bit. Still I will try to do at least 3 runs every day, and maybe even more if I see a chance to do that while I'm working.

Well, I had originally voted to keep the furries and change things, but I think now that this is far too much trouble for one gallery section. As much as I hate to say it, kill the furry gallery before it kills DA.
However, this question remains in my mind: How do you keep the imbeciles from posting furries in other sections without constant monitoring? The only answer I see to that is IP banning.

I don't know if it's possible for individual galleries, but couldn't it be possible for a person to have "X"-number of posts before being able to post in that section? (then again, that setting might be only regulated to the gallery as a whole, which would be counter-intuitive...)

That brings up a valid point.

If someone's not going to be able to post SexyFur in the Furries section, then they will just go and upload it to another section. Either way, it seems like equal amount of work for a moderator to sift through and delete them.

If you think about it, getting rid of the furry section doesn't solve the problem of having random people upload SF images to the server.

It's not like they're going to say "Ohnoes, no Furry section? I guess I can't upload pictures..."

They might just as easily upload them to a "User Gallery" or be a dick and upload them to any one of the other galleries.

While I support giving furry fans another chance in combination with partial moderation, I don't think "if you close "Furry" they'll post in other sections" is a good argument.

1. Right now only few people bother to report SF. I for one even don't know what "SexyFur" looks like, I'm just not interested in it. Probably saw it when I was in some Furry galleries in the past out of curiosity but forgot already what SF looks like. If there's no furry gallery and everyone knows that furry isn't allowed it's MUCH easier to spot & report it. Furry => report.

2. The people who post SF are ignorant fools but they still want to show the pictures to other members of furry community. From their point of view they do something productive (unless the ones who post SF are in fact furry haters in disguise, the ones who would love to see the furry gallery closed for whatever reason). If Furry section is gone the only reason to keep posting furry in DAT gallery could the revenge. They'll get bored sooner or later.

I think that what people need to realise is that the pictures cannot be instantly moderated. Even if a SF image was uploaded and removed within an hour, it could still be seen by the original copyright holders and THIS is what will cause DaT to get into trouble.

Its all well and good to say "Yes, I want this, I want that, I can help here", but a lot of it is empty offers, and only thinking about what would benefit you.

To be honest, after reading all of the views here, I don't think that keeping the furry side would be a good thing. Its too risky, and causing some of the staff an awful headache.

I'm tired of seeing it popping up each time I go to the gallery....Since I have been uploading lots of images to my gallery...That stuff is not sexy...it's disturbing.......
