i come to this web site everyday and browse through the galleries. for most the galleries there's no problem,but it seems like no one gives a rats a** about what yaoi fans have to suffer through.every other day i have to hurry and scroll by like ten or twelve marvel,xmen or what ever the heck they are pics just to see some actual yaoi.i've tried reporting and the pics i reported months ago are still there.i understand if you need help and i will be more than willing to clean that gallery up myself. i'll also understand if you don't care and consider xmen and etc. yaoi ,but for the record they are not. yaoi is considered males from animes, mangas,and some japanese games.not just any drawings of males you can find

Well, first off... I can understand your frustration, but ranting about it in such a way isn't going to help anyone or anything. At the time you most likely reported them, the reporting system sent an actual email to _every_ moderator, at which time most services (even gmail) would see the sheer amount of messages similar to each other, and instantly throw them in spam. It's long since been fixed, to the point where each gallery staff sees the post thats reported in a section of the forums for the gallery staff to use for just that purpose.

As for cleaning it up yourself, the invitation's been open for ANY of our visitors, since opening day, to apply to be a gallery mod. A simple look/search of the forums shows where to apply, but since Feb of 2007, I have not seen an application from you for a gallery moderator position.

Please keep in mind, there are only 7-8 moderators for well over 200,000 images currently in the gallery, with many moderators covering 2-3 categories, and concentrating entirely on the newer stuff thats being posted simply takes almost all of their time. We simply do not have the manpower to go back through each section from page 1 and remove material. That's why the report function was changed to operate the way it currently does. So that _every_ mod sees what the problem is, and if the one responsible doesn't fix it, someone else can. (We can't fix what we don't know is broke in that case...)

Rest assured, if you see those images, and they are definitely not supposed to be there, and you DO report them, they will be taken care of.

I know the invitations open but thats just for moving pics not deleting them. maybe if you guys created a gallery or section for items up for deletion that would make it easier.sorry for the rant I thought the pics maybe allowed seeing as they are being uploaded so rapidly

Actually not quite true, theres always been a running thread for gallery moderators that anyone can apply to see Gallery Moderators

Anyone with a willingness to spend time to learn the gallery and work with the community to help make dat a better place is welcome to apply. We usually only have people wanting to just moderate furries apply so the thread doesn't get alot of attention.

It's not a difficult task, just a bit time consuming and sometimes really repetitive (and sometimes it really gets annoying) but in the end its a worthwhile and fun thing to do... Plus you get the satisfaction of knowing that you're helping out.
