| Retired Staff | Dr Who Ya, not an anime, but nothing says it has to be an anime in this section.. I have been watching Dr Who ever since the second doctor to the 6'th, and the dr who movie on fox.. Now they're showing season one of the new doctor who series here in Canada. Do you believe that the new series keeps faithfull to the origional series, or do you believe that it's trying to restart the series from scratch for a new generation? |

| RevanFlame's pet | You already know I am a big fan of the Doctor, and love to rub your nose in the fact that they have already shown the second series here in the UK ![]() Is it faithful to the original, I would like to say yes. As the doctor has progressed through the decades, there have been some subtle, inevitable changes. Things like losing K-9, and different enemies. I would like to think that the new doctor is merely a decade progression, and there will probably be a lot more. And without spoiling too much for Sarge, and any other viewers who are behind the times: We get to see the Daleks, Cybermen and K-9 in the new series ![]() The second series also hosts a new doctor (I guess Eccleston thought he was too big for a BBC show), David Tennant. I was a little cynical at first, but he is hilarious. And the romantic tension with Rose is unbelievable (yes, I did shed a little tear at the end of S2). I love Dr Who as I have grown up with it as a kid. And I would hope that some of the story lines terrify children as much today as they did when I was little ![]() H.

| Retired Staff | Here is a question i've been thinking up for some time.. Time lords have 13 lives.. going into season two.. they're on the 10'th doctor. The high council of the time lords could grant, under rare circumstances, additional lives on a time lord, if i remember right. However, all the time lords are now dead, except for the doctor. What will happen at the 13'th doctor? |

| - | The Tom Baker era is my favorite, luckily he had the longest stretch as The Doctor. I like Jon Pertwee and Peter Davison as well, but didn't care much for Colin Baker. Our local public broadcasting station had licensed Doctor Who and Red Dwarf, so through much of grade school I'd say up late on Sunday night to watch them.
