battle royale is a movies based on a manga about a class of under achivers sent to and island were they are forced to kill each other until only one person is left by the end of 3 days ... if not one person then they all die
this oited friends against friend ans sibling agaisnt sibling

Wrong way around...
the movie and manga are both based from the novel by Koushun Takami.

But yeah Battle Royale is awesome. Kazuo Kiriyama is without a doubt my favorite character.

It is an awesome movie, the opening scene still sends a chill down my spine when I think about it.

Sadly the sequel was very disappointing.. Kenta really screwed up

Yeah the second installment really sucked.

Although Kinji Fukasaku wasn't exactly brilliant, IMO, he did have a few good, and quite a few not so good, films out there.

His son Kenta didn't exactly ruin his fathers rep.. so .. meh

Battle Royale was amazing!

The first time i saw it, i immediately had to see it again, it's just that good.
It really makes you wonder, what would happen if that occurred in real life?

I only saw a few minutes of the second one though, it didn't have any subtitles so i had no clue what was going on
